one thing you could do if your worried about getting a splinter or something, is you can put grip tape in the top of it rather than sanding it, or maybe even like duct tape

I'm going to give this a shot, because I keep repairing my pedal, and then the goddamn cable gets ripped our again. Getting sick of it.

Just made my own ghetto pedal inspired by this video. its WAY more responsive than the regular GHWT pedal.

I used all the same parts as you did. Ghetto as hell but it works amazingly well :)
