It has been about three years since she did this, she was still a young snake - there was nothing medically wrong with her. I really do agree with someone else's comment previously, I think something had caught her interest and she was staring at it. Snakes are funny creatures. :)
@Quilleh yeah mine used to do that all the time, sometimes still does. Its usualy something they just fixate on and stare at it aimlessly! Snakes indeed are funny creatures, gotta love 'em!
@Quilleh I realize this video was posted ages ago in internet time, but relax. Snakes do this all the time. In fact, aside from just staring upwards aimlessly, they might push in the top of the cage or in corners trying to get out.
Hmm.. being a corn-snake I don't think it would be stargazers, that effects boids (boas and pythons) more than anything. But that is wierd.. was her tongue flicking? It looked like it, but it was hard to tell.. Did you wave your hand at her or anything, if she responded to it, then it's probably nothing. But that is a little wierd, was there something on the roof she might've been checking out? Fan, light.. snakes're wierd for stuff like that.
My little guy does that when he's quite interested - turns out most of the time it's when I'm handling him :P
