oh fuck off , Musicians have had to give away enough free music over the last 5 years, why shouldn't they get a couple of hundred grand off GAP or Coca Cola?! this is not the 80's or 90's anymore, there is no excess bar rap music. musicians have to be business clever to survive, people who try and maintain their 'integrity' are normally not capable of making it in the mainstream anyway and realize they have a niche market. watch the radiohead documenary 'you are a target audience'

Yea, i have seen ryan live, was going to see Nelson live but tickets sold out really fast. Some Ryan in Glasgow last year, really good, but I wish i could have seen him in Whiskeytown/early solo years cause i dont think easy tiger is that great.

Radio hit or not the guy is one of the few talents out there. funny how everyone feels someone who is 35 or any or 40's age must have the hit or arrive. In truth life is a series of journeys and I am sure he's having a blast and yes SOMEDAY he will rise to the top where he should be lol i.e letter man show but still he will making music when he is 90 in that apartment and it will be all good.

I've never properly understood why people get so uptight about these sorts of things. Yes, its an advertisement; yes, its media .... ( insert pretentious, uptight deep quote here about selling out to the man). Personally, I think its great for Adams and Nelson to cross paths...it proved to flourish their music endevours with the release of Songbird in '06. Cheers to this.
