(1)田漢死之前其實本身已身有患有老人常有之疾(時年已近70歲),包括冠心病和糖尿病;當時他被化名為李伍(連真名也不能示人,實在可歎!!)送進３０１醫院就醫。但問題是,當時他是被冠以“阻止社會主義發展”的身份送進醫院。故受醫期間,還一直受到精神上的迫害--政治審判,受到重重監視及批評;而且亦有說他進這間醫院時同進監獄沒有分別,可想而知其醫療待遇亦好不去那兒.在精神迫害加上惡疾纏身下,田漢於1968年12月10日自然含恨病逝。
(2)在進入醫院前,其實他已受到不少精神及身體上的殘害。他和其他當時受到政治迫害的政治人物(如十大元帥的朱德,彭德懷),文人(猶其是高等學府的學者,如花潮作者雲南大學校長李廣田,北京大學哲學系教授張東蓀,北京工大校長、黨委書記魏思文等)一樣,同樣受到“批鬥”,包括把他們帶到街上遊街,讓人唾罵,甚至在街上被人毒打而不能還手;身上還有帶上寫著侮辱性字句的牌,無論在精神上及肉體上均受嚴重傷害,就算是鐵人也不能忍受,更何況是文質彬彬的60多歲老學者田漢,身體自然日差。
