yeah, here is the thing; Uwe Boll seems like a fairly nice guy, and i am not about to hate on him for making movies that suck on every level. but the fact is that he is frigin Arrogant. he has been quoted as saying that anyone who does not like his movies is an idiot, and that is as unprofesional as you can get. this is why he is so hated. plus, he cheats people out of their money with is german tax loopholes, thus showing that he makes this crap so he can make money that he does not deserve.

Postal actually looks to be a pretty decent movie. But Far Cry they are shooting in Vancouver not exactly an tropical island and he claims that he is sticking close to the game plot. As much as I hate Uwe Boll, and as crappy a director as he is, it does suck that so many of the crappy movies he makes are scripts not written by him. HoTD was written by two other guys then passed to Uwe (as he mentions), AitD was a great script at first, then the second screen writer ballsed it up. I think Uwe gets more flack than he deserves, but he is an asshole at the same time.
