I rode my mama-chari a lot when I lived in Japan (1996-98, in Hashimoto-shi, Wakayama-ken. I was on the JET Program). The longest trip I took on my mama-chari was a total of 90km. Many of my Japanese friends were amazed, LOL! I explored my town extensively by bike when I arrived, and sometimes I rode my mama-chari in rain or snow, with groceries in the basket and in my backpack, and 1 hand holding an umbrella.

I tried eel... not bad tasting, but many bones in it, which made it hard to eat

Wow 90km!! I wouldn't be able to... 1 hand holding an umbrella is against the law but I do that so often as well :p lol

Eel you tried before was a little different from normal eel cooking. They are usually taken their bones out when they are cooked.

HAHA you are the best! I played little league baseball when I was 6-9 years of age. Never had professional aspirations though. I'd say your even now after you ran over those damned pidgeons. You try to be nice and they attack you. It kind of reminds me of my brother. LOL Siblings....
