The only thing i didn't understand directly was "you have to hold down the >ALT< key", saying old instead of alt is not really bad english, there's no big difference between the sound of a and o in english.

Hello and thanks for the tutorial.I really like this effect and I tried doing it but I got stuck at the 'mask' stage,what is the 'old' key your referring to? I don't know what it is so I assumed it must be the 'shift' key but the mask didn't come out black,nor did a new tab come out like yours.can you help?

@coolmonkey934 He's referring to the "Alt" key. Hold it when you click on the mask icon so the mask comes up black (black conceals, white reveals). When you paint with white on the black mask it reveals parts of the image the mask is concealing. If you take too much off the mask switch to black paint to rebuild the black mask, concealing more of the image. Hope that helps.

nikkocyte07 ~ To get your old brushes back

* Click on your brush tool.

* Right Click on pic you have up on screen.

* Click on the tiny 'right pointing arrow' at the top . This should open a list of brush options for you.

* Now either click on the brush you had previously or chose 'basic brushes'.

* You will then get a grey box up with a yellow warning triangle asking do you wish to replace your existing brushes.

* Just click OK
