World's Record Guitar Ensemble in Luckenbach, Texas on Aug 23, 2009

Texas may have been bumped. The Guinness web site says the largest guitar ensemble was 6,346 participants at the "Thanks Jimi Festival" in Wroclaw, Poland, on May 1, 2009 playing "Hey Joe." They allowed the crowd to "play" electric guitars too so it's hard to tell if all were actually playing. Search YouTube for "Thanks Jimi Festival - Guinness Guitar Record"
