great vid, safety first, just a little addition would be boots, you have very little and fragile bones on your ankles, so boots are also highly recommended

go ahead and get the 650r. it will give you room to grow in experience. for your size and maturity, it will fit you. Ride safe! that helmet is similar with my scorpion. i love that speedvisor

This is by far the smartest newbie vid about bikes and gear I have ever seen. Your gear is a good investment! Helmet, jacket, gloves are a good start. Now lets hear about your pants and boots (wanna see you in some nice kicks too). Right about those riders in shorts and flip-flops and no helmet. If you don't have brains, you don't need a helmet. 650, the 250 wont get you to highway speeds if your anywhere near two hundo

@Pizzleini if you are anywhere near 200 pounds (which you seem to be, no offense) the 250 will not have the low end grunt to give you that performance your looking for, nor will it have the top end that will give you speed. all around the 650 would be better, with more power,low end grunt, top end speed. and its not a liter bike(1000) so if your still not comfortable with a more powerful bike your still in that range of enough power to get you going....now and not so much power you lose ur skin

nice video homie... as far as the bike I would go with the 650 instead of the 250 just make sure you respect the bike. be sure to take the msf course they will probably have you on a 250 and you'll see why i say to get the 650 lol.... wear you gear and be safe

Belive me get the 650r i was gonna get the 250r too but then i thought to myself you know 250r top speeds is 90-100 mph if i just keep what i learned ill be fine on the 650r did you take the msf course? if so go ahead get the 650r but be extra careful
