  • Ok. Its like the wiffel ball of golf. Great for practicing because it reacts similar to the real ball, but you don't have to walk 200 yards to get it.

  • is it me or does john breaker look like the late john ritter at 0:44?

  • @st20602 I thought the same thing and was wondering if anyone else noticed the John Ritter similarity.

  • I wish the PGA would have the courage (or lawyers) to attempt to standardize (limit) equipment across the board so that classic golf courses don't get wastefully longer (and often worse) every bloody year in order to avoid obsolescence. A child can see that is unsustainable. This doesn't address that, but it allows for practice in a smaller (and cheaper for many) space -- that's all good.

  • @nesnejls We can play nine holes on a football field at schools. We are in over 6,000 schools and we agree with the equipment paradox. Believe me, we are working on pulling it back to reality.

  • This is a good invention, I don't necessarialy play golf, but my grandfather enjoys golf. I might buy some birdieballs. Ps, that guy didn't have one bit of core muscle.

  • Interesting... but the little golf wiffle balls that I practice with seem to fly true as well. How is this different?

  • @hawaiidispenser Wiffle balls do not spin like golf balls. The flight of a golf ball is determined by its spin. A golf ball has reverse spin around a horizontal axis. If the axis tilts left to right it fades or slices, if it tilts from right to left as it spins it draws of fades. A wiffle ball knuckles in the air and as a result does not properly represent golf ball flight.

  • Hello golf.

  • thats a huge elementary school!!!!!

  • shouldnt it be called the birdiecylinder?

  • 00:40 John Ritter?

  • will it blend?

  • WTF? But I love it :D

  • i should have taken golf in school. there is an old course literally across the road from me but they closed down and the owner wont let me over there anymore

  • @killingyoukindly all of that land and he won't let anyone use it? is the course still maintained?

  • I think i was one of the first ones to use these! They were at some expo at qwest field and we bought them like 7 years ago

  • so simple but smart and the way i look at golf it wont be as fun to brake windows

  • makes you better at hitting balls

  • I hope this will help my game.lol

  • balls!!!

  • the shape is very interesting, I can't believe I haven't used one yet

  • I was never good at golf

  • My ball striking has never been better! -_-

  • that is an amazing new golf ball...

  • @jvbreaker cool maybe i should get one

  • I have some of those and theyare pretty cool

  • cccool

  • wow that is interesting

  • I enjoyed these!

  • My school uses those to practice

  • lol, we use these in class at Chico State

  • ...frisbee golf is out there too

  • close captions on youtube is HILARIOUS!!!

  • cooollll

  • Interesting idea especially for kids !!

  • "Anywhere that you can't play golf, you can play with birdie balls"

  • So why use this instead of a normal golf ball?

  • @234trance I am glad you asked. This is a common question. The answer is that it travels a very short distance only forty yards. This is the distance from home plate to second base. What this means is that you can get true ball striking practice away from the golf course. So back yards, parks and open spaces become great places to practice hitting a golf ball.

  • @234trance um maybe so u don't damage an ything if your trying to hit something off the golf course or the driving range

  • i wish my school let us use these when we do golf in gym, instead we use realy bad plastic balls, that kinda just float in the wind and dont go very far, which the the reason i didnt sign up for it this year

  • I think they could really improve my game!

  • sounds like he's autotuned lol

  • John Ritter invented the Birdie ball???

  • nic e

  • Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft. Today, it's called golf.

  • used these before a tournament when the driving range was closed. They were just as good as hitting real balls

  • 2:03 looks like the back of my school

  • that is awesome

  • cool

  • i wantz 1 :)....idk how i found this video >.>

  • These balls look pretty cool.Never hit one before, but would like to try'em.

  • Dude ive played with these. They work.

  • I Love Filling my Coffee mug and taking a doz Birdieballs loaded on My 7 iron and hitting Jacksonville Beach. I put my Flip Flops about 30-40 yards apart and go back and forth! Ya Gotta love a free driving range once you spend the initial $

  • @wvolson Perfection. What else can be said?

  • This is so cool!!! I'm going to get one

  • Totally just bought the buy a dozen get one free after one view... Looks like a killer product. Can't believe the 50% discount was for real. I hope to re-post once delivered to say if they're legit or not.

  • Cool product. Gotta' love golf.

  • i use them in my gym class at school

  • I have some of these and there awesome, the greatest thing is they dont break and react alot like a golf ball would!

  • wow. thats actually pretty kool.

  • these are great, i use em right in my backyard. also i have the net which i hit into with real balls every day

  • We use these at the YMCA near my town. They really do fly a lot like a normal golf ball.

  • So, I'm just about ready to order some Birdieball, but I have one question first. Is the pad required to hit them correctly? I would prefer to use them straight from grass or just from the foam tee.

  • @redtide08 No pad is required. Just hit them like God intended, right off of the grass.

  • i might get these im suprised iv never seen or heard of them, i use to use foam or wiffleballs but they would ether go to far or to short to tell if it was a nice clean hit.

  • Sounds like fun to try out in your back yard. I wish I had one.

  • golf is my favorite sport. I actually get bored of watching football...

  • really cool invention, I would definately invest in these. Are they priced per ball or are they sold in a set? I would like to see how just going out in the backyard with these for thirty minutes a day would improve my game.

  • @blueyourmom123 They are priced either way. The best value is the set. We currently have a special going on. The BirdieBall set is a dozen plus the StrikePad for $39.99 and we give you an extra dozen for free. Further, when you use the promotion code "newball" you receive an additional 10% discount.

  • I love using my birdie ball. It has helped straighten my drives a lot. I can't believe how well these work. I also used some great free tips that you can find at my profile.

  • I've used this ball and it really works well. My game has improved a ton since I started using this ball and using a few tips from this site

  • That does look like fun, I can see this become an olympic sport

  • @joelito101 Make sure you sign up on our FaceBook page BirdieBall Golf. We are going to put together a number of national qualifying tournaments. We will be playing a Ryder Cup like event in October of 2012 near Medinah, Illinois. This page will keep you posted of the events, times and places.

  • @joelito101 It is sooooo fun I can't tell you how much this has helped my swing. Check out my profile for a few more helpful tips!

  • awww cool when i went to gym at my school they let us golf with those birdie balls. It is way much easier :)

  • @skateboy5667 Way much easier than English class, for sure.

  • Looks like a lot of fun, I will probably get a set for me and my brother to practice. I just have one question. Do they work for driving? LIke would i use the same form driving as i would with a normal ball? And whats a good estimate for a drive distance with these?

  • @SteveTheVahn We have a tee that is used for Driver and 3 Metal. It is called the Velocity Tee and you can find them under the BirdieBall Tee section on the left hand column of the Shop BirdieBall page. They are like a sponge which is used to elevate the ball. If you would like to make your own tee, just buy some kitchen sponges and cut them to your desired tee height. Distance with driver is about 60 yards. 78 yards is the world record, set by Mike Dobbyn the ReMax World Long drive Champ

  • @jvbreaker Thanks :D

  • @jvbreaker Thanks :D I will buy a set in the next week, Cant wait to try them out! Since I am a teenager i need to work on my form and I think this will really help Thanks :D

  • What shape is that thing?

  • @breepizzarolls420 I should explain how this cylinder flies exactly like a golf ball in a little better detail. When in its upright position when hit by a lofted golf club, the cylinder compresses into an oval and then rebounds back into a circular shape in the blink of an eye. The bottom of the cylinder compresses more and rebounds faster than the middle and top of the cylinder thus throwing it into a very high rate of reverse spin. This is exactly what happens in golf ball rebound & flight

  • @breepizzarolls420 Yes, a cylinder that flies exactly like a golf ball. Awesome!

  • HAHA The Breaker Ball

  • why don't you call it the ball breaker

  • @DustinDolby We thought about it, but in the end, it needed a golf like name. Also, slowing something down is braking, not breaking. Thanks for asking. -J

  • @jvbreaker .....You'r last name is spelt like that. It could be homophonic using your last name but meaning that it slows the ball.
