  • Give me a breeze that's long winded

  • Best foo's song of their first period, so intense , sweet and deep. a kind of dark beauty, sincerity with pain for what he got through. Brillant!!!

  • @grandsampras plz tell me, what did he get though?

  • @st8tBG

the death of Kurt Cobain; leader of Nirvana, Dave Grohl was his drummer.

  • one of my all time favorite songs. beautiful.

  • This song is going so deep inside my soul...So deep into ordinary feelings. Undescribable...

  • if i remember correctly from jr high its in drop d. just the open d then dminor then c open chord and a minor

  • @bwilljt It's d minor, g7, f9, a minor, and then f9 :)

  • Imagine if Kurt spoke up to Dave about making this a Nirvana song. It's a shame he was to scared to bring up that he wanted to change Dave's lyrics to it... I would've enjoyed hearing his voice on this tune.

  • I love the long, faded ending.

  • yes Iam very very exhausted, thanks for Sari makan malam nya finally You meet the man "Adi" LOL

  • This is the closest Foo Fighter's song to shoegazing

  • I know this was Dave recording on his own, but is this the actual quality of the album version?

    thanks

  • Can someone PLEASE post a lesson for this song?

  • This riff is fucking tasty!

  • this song is indescribable.

    dave did it great.

  • when i first listened to this song in the begining i thought my speakers were messed up.

  • by far my favourite song, i know people hate some people for saying this, but he has such an inspiring voice that perfectly matches his instrumental touch, i very much consider his talents amongst those of john lennon and other very strong influential musicians thankyou missfoofighters89 for uploading this :-)

  • this song just makes me sad

  • The guitar intro gives me chills.

  • Man, Foo Fighters are so underrated. <3 one word: AMAZING.

  • @HuggingAfruitBat they're far from underrated, this song probably is though

  • Comment removed

  • This is quite possibly my favorite on this cd

  • @6969cobra Wrong. It is impossible to have a favorite because we cannot comprehend "favorite" with the Foo Fighters. It is just too awesome.

  • this is probably the most tortured riff i've ever heard

  • @MrRushbrown I like it

  • This song hasn't aged as much as most nirvana/foo fighters stuff for me. It's sad that i see most of this era of music as corny, and repetitive now. I used this cd as an escape from anyone that was making me feel down from second grade all the way through high school. I used to imagine singing these songs at a talent show, when i was alone in my room, listening to these songs. Singing them with venom towards those people. only part that makes me cringe a bit is that riff that starts at 1:54

  • what a load of teenage piss and dribble.

  • @MrNZDAVE sorry to hear that you were a teenager in second grade, scrub.

  • I am so sorry if I hurt your feelings. Please share your deepest feelings with us all. I am on the edge of my seat.

  • @MrNZDAVE Our deepest emotional state is anger. Anger can raise your heart rate to 180 beats

a minute. It can raise your blood pressure from 120 over 80 to 220 over 130, perhaps even higher.

Anger can disrupt the coordinates of signals sent from the brain to the heart, which account

for well over 400,000 sudden deaths a year. Cortisol and adrenaline are clearly no laughing matter.

  • the killer songs....mayb

  • Did you know that this song was played entirely by Dave Grohl? Drums, Guitars and Vocals. It's all him. Pretty cool.

  • @happymeltedcity in fact the entire album was layed by Dave Grohl. He's not a god for nothing.

  • @happymeltedcity One who the best musican around for the last 20years pretty epic

  • i hope they play this at perth this year :D

  • i think i luv u.best album.always sorts my mood.xxxxxxxxx

  • Im not into the foo's this days, but the first two records got my balls pretty hard (I know, weird analogy) but this is the best song Dave wrote. It contains the following elements (for me)

Despair, tiredness (sp?), liberation, exhilaration and I-want-to-break-and fuck-shit-in-an empty-room.

    So, yeah.

P.S. The 2 people who dislike this should be locked until they die to prevent the earth about this terrible persons with no taste in good music to populate it in the future.

  • This is how I feel now... Running exhausted and lost

  • i've listening to this all the morning...

  • best <3

  • One of the few chord progressions so damn good i shit my pants listening to it.

  • so it's supposed to sound distressed.

  • This song tastes so nostalgic.

  • one person has no soul

  • one of the best songs they've ever put out...

  • @jeffashields or rather, that Dave put out :P

  • sisong 4bout my current situ4tion

  • This song is so awesome, I didn't listen to their first album, but I think i am going to buy it. This song and Alone and Easy Target are really, really good.

  • @mdognirvana there first album is best for me,im year 79.:))))))))))))))))

  • @mdognirvana Listen to Good Grief as well - that's brilliant!

  • @IsaacParrack95 Yea, I know, Dave Grohl's a genius!

  • @mdognirvana It took me a while to get into it with it being so different from the rest of their material... now it's one of my favourites, I hope you enjoy!

  • cobain apparently wanted to use this as a nirvana song

  • Probably THE most underrated 90's song of all time, one of the best from Foo Fighters fuck all of there music is underrated

  • @MrReally224 here music, there music, everywhere music....

    Oh, you meant "their music."

  • @mindsmirror And you mean.. "his music", all by Dave.

  • @GDookie16 Somehow I don't think you actually understood what I was pointing out, but perhaps it's just that you're not very good at getting your point across.

  • @mindsmirror maybe, i'm just joking, dude.

  • @MrReally224 totally agree. Such a beautiful, haunting song.

  • This song takes me to a place I can't explain, I could play this riff for hours!!

  • @KoRnholio16 YUP I know exactly what u mean. I remember playing this riff on my fuzzed out Silvertone (back in the day) during the end of band practice and all I remember was people leaving the space and me still playing it! Until my best bud came back in the room and unplugged my amp from the wall, "dude we all gotta go home!" Ahhh man hahahahaha good times indeed.

  • @KoRnholio16 could u make a video on how to play the riff? :) message me if u can :D

  • @KoRnholio16 Don't know ur age; but I was in high school when this all went down. No Nirvana song ended in a fade. That's all I wanna say.

  • @KoRnholio16 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @KoRnholio16

i feel the same way about metallica anaesthesia.

  • @KoRnholio16 its like a doorway to another realm....the magic of music...
