@MrBastilleDay eh...it is. I have no problem with this song, I think it's hilarious, but I just think it's disrespectful to actually show the real crime scene photos. How could you think its not?
@Totaly14 - The photographs are historical records. Besides, I asked the victims that if they minded to let me know. I'm still waiting for an answer. I don't think they care.
That chick was a real cut-up! The whole thing was an axident! Seriously, on the same album, the trio does "Green Grow the Lilacs." If at all possible, would you post that song, as nobody seems to have done so?
Guys yes she did do it already the found her clothes a few years after the trial with blood on them that they didn't find otherwise she would of been convicted
@pattisgirls Yes it is. It was an autopsy photo. They performed the initial autopsy in the dining room. They have a copy of the photo on display in the Borden house, which is now a Bed and Breakfast.
Very funny, though very inaccurate. Lizzie's real name was Lizzie, not Elizabeth. Mrs. Borden was murdered first and received "only" nineteen blows. Mr. Borden received "only" ten--and he WAS wearing shoes! Yes, I think she did it. I have stayed at the house often, once in the murder room! It's a surprisingly charming house. The Chad Mitchell Trio recently recorded the song at the house! Perhaps it's on this site.
@Ambidexter143 Yeah, legally, but they didn't have enough evidence. If modern science was used back then, msot forensic analysts say she probably would have been convicted. Plus, she's long dead, so it's not slander. Look, I can do this. WALTER KRONKITE SNORTED COKE OFF OF CORPSES! If he was alive, that'd be slander.
Gotta hand it to whoever put this video together. Using actual photographs of the Borden murder, combined with the Mitchell Trio's macabre but funny classic makes for grisly, yet fun, viewing, at the same time.
Did she do it? And, if she did, was it because of resentment against her father and stepmother, or (as Evan Hunter, for one, has theorized) because she was caught in the midst of an same-sex indescretion?
my aunt ownz the lizzie bordan house i have slept there like 10 times its great doin syancees and shit its great.. tables flying around n doors smashing its soo cool.. i slept in the murder rom n sat on the couch the father died on n slept in the room the mother died in.. its really cool in the mornin u can see hand prints in the sheets becauase every morning lizzies mom made the beds its creapy but really cool..if u wana book a night to slep there call my auntie lee-ann n ask bout it 5086757333
the psychic silvia brown stated on the montell williams show that lizzie was bi-polar, and did it in a rage. maybe abby found lizzie and the maid together in a compromising situation.. never know!!
actuallly you are both right both terms are acceptable although after the women's movement it became somewhat politically incorrect for a time such as distinguishing comic comedienne used in present tense the former is acceptable [actress singer [note i did not say songstress but I could have ;-)] standup comedienne that would be me
@thekidde63 I detest hearing an actress referred to as an "actor". Acting is a profession in which visibility is central, and neutering the terms I believe is thus like an attempt to forcibly neuter our image of them.
The song was written by Michael Brown for "New Faces of 1952", where both Paul Lynde. Aluce Ghostly and Eartha Kitt (introducing the song 'Santa Baby') made their debuts and Mel Brooks wrote and performed
Much though I love Chad Mitchell Trio, this was originally an old vaudville-music hall song as was "Hang on the Bell, Nelly". Both would probably be utterly lost now were it not for these brilliant lads.
i remember watching this movie thing about this. Lizzie was a horrible murderer. I want to visit the Borden house when i get older. CAN'T WAIT FOR IT! I think i will be screaming when i see her ghost. I'l be like oh, shit, get he he;ll away from me, and probably run out of there and scream at tge top of my lungs for no apparent reason... he he..... "God doesn't bless thy Lizzie Borden. She was a sin to all. "Very weird song.. freaked me out!
Actually, I don't think Lizzie Borden did it. There's way too much evidence against it.
I'm more inclined to believe it was "Uncle John Morse" (the visiting Uncle.) More motive, more capability, and the method of crime fits the male profile more. Women poison, men go for blood.
I want to stay at the Bed and Breakfeast where she killed them. Did you know they serve you the last meal they ate before LIzzie killed them? Check it out on the web site!
How far is Lizzie Bordens house from where you live? I live exactly 13 hours and 50 minutes from where she does. My friend and I are going to stay at her bed and breakfast this October when the curtain between the world of the dead and the world of the living is much thinner.
Joe Frazier! Saw ur reunion concert in Mpls, MN a couple years ago! It was a fantastic family affair! My Dad has the groups original recordings on LP. Grew up listening to u. We did family sing-a-longs to ur songs on cross-country car trips. Thanks for all the great times!

THATS NOT EVEN TRUE she hit her stepmom like 19 times and her dad 11 cuz she wanted money that she would inherit when her parents died. no lie i learned about it in skool.
I get more frightened watching/reading biographies about true crime than I do from horror movies. The tv movie with Elizabeth Montgomery was an excellent movie about the Lizzie Borden case. Check it out.
This is my third try to comment on this video. I'm the guy reciting the poem and my group, The Chad Mitchell Trio, is singing it (as we have done for almost fifty years and counting! Would the person who did this please change the credit, so it can be found? Thanks. Joe Frazier CMT

What if she did do it? If she hit her father & step-mother from behind with the axe, they might not even had seen who it was that killed them. Especially if her father was sleeping & her step-mother was caught by surprise while doing work upstairs. If Lizzie did do it, she sure had enough motive. She hated both of them & wouldn't even call her step-mother Abby. She'd only call her Mrs. Bordon. She had a sense of hatred for them & I think if she did do it she's the only one who knows.
wait your hero is a young woman who was charged with killing her own parents?!what was it that she did that inspired you?yeah she was found innocent but please, im really curious to know! you shouldn't be proud in the slightest.

This song is actually a slander. Miss Borden was found not guilty at her trial so legally she didn't kill either of her parents.
