  • Helpful bobby pin tip: Sally's sells bobby pins (which you can find close to your hair color) for super cheap in a roll of several hundred and they are very strong. :-)

  • What a cute hairstyle! I wore it the other day and I got so many compliments. :)

I love your videos so much, especially the hairstyle tutorials. My hair comes down to my waist so I have trouble thinking of styles for it! Thanks so much! :)

  • your hair is very pretty.

  • hiya you are a total lifesaver my hair is really long well not too long but people are always asking if i wear extensions (i don't by the way)..

it would really appreciate it if you could give me some tips because i have had my hair layered and feathered so my hair always falls out (its a pain) so please could you do a tutorial on a hairstyle for people with layered hair...

    thanks soooooo much

p.s you have really beautiful hair...x

  • Thanks i like ur personality

  • I have this really thick and layered hair, and if I try to twist my hair up in a bun it looks really weird and all frizzy!

  • Oh my gosh, this was so helpful!

  • You're so down to earth and pretty and your videos are actually really helpful! Thank you! (:

  • will this work on wet hair!!!??

  • Sure :o)

  • i like my buns so that i have a little bit of hair thats kinda poofy :P

  • omg r they ur actual nails there r way long

  • thank you.

  • i really like the look ,, but my problem is thta i have a curly hair so that wont work right .. or maybe on its wet ?! .i dont know .. if is it going to be nice or not .. what do u think ?

  • Hi, curly hair looks so pretty and feminine in an up do. You should definitely try it. You may have to alter the look to suit your hair's natural way like leaving some curls out around your face. Can be so pretty :o)

  • PUUURDAAY !

  • I don't have long hair so what do I do?

  • My hair is long and very thick, wavy and slick! What I did to make this work better because of the weight of my hair was that I sectioned the top and the bottom sections of my hair from ear to ear, maybe a little higher. I made the bun on the top half, then secured it as best i could (top part of my hair is thicker). Next I took the bottom section and twisted it and wrapped it around the bun I made with the top half. This made it even more secure. I was even able to shake my head around! :)

  • i have knee length uncut hair.thick near d head and thinning near d end .i want to have a hair cut and and a style to suit my lifestyle.all i do is a simple braid, coz my hair tend to frizz i cannot leave them loose.any help?i am expecting a baby on cristmas this year.so i m looking forword to a low maintainance style.

  • Hi, congratulations on your upcoming baby. I think you should cut your length a bit because knee length is very long and heavy for your roots. I would still keep it long because, in my opinion longer hair is actually easier to wear than short hair. Short hair usually needs to be styled to look nice, but with long hair you can braid, ponytail, headband, or place it in a bun. You have so many options and with a new baby, you won't have much time to fuss with your hair at all.

  • "for those of your who dont know what bobby pins are"....hahahah that was so cute! u seen really nice and care about making sure everyone gets it ahahha great job!

  • your an awesome teacher !!!

  • i have really long hair (really long) and really straight and nothing holds up...

  • my hair is 5 feet does it still work

  • hi im hispanic

  • Hey, I have really, really thick hair which makes it hard to secure the updo. I'm afraid those small pins aren't enough, is there any other smart way to do it? :)

  • Hi, you can try using the larger bobby pins. They are better at securing thicker hair. You can also buy small claw clips.

  • @noraofnorth i've never tried them, but i heard that amish pins are good for thick hair. i have really tick hair too, but i don't like to wear it up very often :)

  • @noraofnorth i hear ya...and when i DO manage to secure the up do i have a fuck of a time FINDING all the bobbypins afterwards...i think i've had like 3 fall out in the shower once...cuz my hairs black thick and long...i would sugest small claw clips...but only clamp little piesce of hair at a time...as a kid i alwasy mangaged to snap those things in half trying to put up the same amount of hair the other girls did lol

  • @noraofnorth My hair is long and very thick, wavy and slick! Please subscribe to us to keep in touch!

  • Could you please help and tell me how I could make that short part in the front with my own scissors? Because I have broken hair in the front and I want to make them look styled instead of just ew.

  • you're a great tutor.:D

  • hey girl! soo i have really long hair but the problem is that my face is really long and now that my hair is long ppl are saying omg your face is so big. do you think i should cut it?

  • Hi, having really long hair can make your face look longer. You want to try to add width to your face. Try cutting some bangs; keep the side swept and wispy. Also, long layers would be effective to frame your face. Have them start at the cheekbone and go no farther down that your shoulder.

  • do you think long striaght hair is ok with a round face?

i like leaving a bit of hair down too :) xxxx

  • Hi, I think it's very nice. If you wear it closer to your face with long layers, it will give your face a more slimming effect which is desirable for a round face.

  • hi i have no bangs and a big forehead what do you suggest i should do?

  • Hi, I think you would benefit from bangs. They will definitely help soften your forehead.

  • Thanks! Finally something that looks good on me. :)

  • Hello do u hav a any hair styles that look nice for school but are off the face and are updo thanks:)

  • what i do is tiqht it then twist

  • i have really thik thik hair and its sumwat curly so its hard 4 me becouse lots o hairs poke out LOL luv ur vid!!!!! IT HELPED ME ALOT THANK U!!!!

  • sehr originell

  • your very lady like :) appreciate it! so rare these days..

    thanks for the tip :)

  • Okk i Have many fly-aways....And my bangs that i had before is fully grown.....So i have no hairr in the front like yours to really make the bun look cute....Do u any suggestions?

  • Hi, combing it up at your forehead and placing the bun a little higher looks really cute. Also, having dip slightly and sweep back into the bun also looks cute. It's kind of hard for me to explain, I will do a video in the future to show this. You may have to use an anti-frizz serum to hold hair smooth. You can also add a pretty barrette or clip on one side for some interest.

  • Love your videos, thanks for the tips!

  • Hi! love this updo hairstyle, my problem is that I have silk hair, it slips out of most of what I do. what can I do about that? and my hair is heavy

  • Hi, your hair sounds beautiful. You can try spraying your hair with a light hairspray product before you make the up do just to give it some traction. You should probably use more bobby pins to secure it; a combination of small and large will probably work best.

  • thats a nice easy way to do it lol thax i will give that a go xxx panda

  • WOW, thank u. finally a video that is a lot easier than some others

    thank u

    and btw cool video

  • cute! too bad my hair is all layered. it's difficult to mantain it up and perfect.

  • thank youu helped soo much!

  • great video :) it helped a lot since i am bad at doing updos

  • pretty cool.....

  • beautiful idea :)

but i have very thick hair thats just about the same length everywhere, so there are no little locks coming down for me.

    Is your hair layered?

  • Hi, I do not have layers, but I do have shorter pieces that I cut in the front to frame my face. Perhaps you would look nice with that too :o)

  • WOW at your nails :O

  • Cool video thank you :)

  • seems like a cute idea :) but my hair is really thick, do you think I'll be able to do the twisting part? :P

  • Hi, give it a try. You should be able to do it just fine. You will probably need extra bobby pins to hold it in place due to the added weight.

  • thanks i subbed :) !

  • TY for the video. I have long hair thats been getting in the way lately. I have been trying to find an Easy UpDo. . Yours is IT. lots of ideas sprung off this one easy style.. Most updos went very prom or bridal. I think Brides should go softer. Your style you shared looks great on me. I got alot of compliaments. I had to tell you. THX . lori

  • Hi, thank you so much for your terrific feedback! I'm so glad my video helped you find a great style for you. I, too, wear my hair this way a lot; especially in the summer.

  • thx for posting this video. idk if it will would with my type of hair. My hair is medium length blackish brownish and sorta stringy i guess u can say.

  • Hi, if you hair is past your shoulders, you should be able to do it.

  • hi youtips4u

  • the final is perfect

  • i so love this look so thanks can you do a prom updo

  • i like your nails

  • this is so easy

  • I do that to my hair all the time!!! I don't have to use bobby pins though, because it stays all by itself! Haha thanks though. :)

  • hi! i wanted to do this hairstyle for a while now. I am 5' 3" and i was really long hair. It goes all the way up to my butt. I have a boys basketball game where i am going to cheer and do a lot of stuff like cartwheels and stuff. i was wondering if it will stay with the bobby pins or should i use something else? Thankx for the vid!

  • Hi, because your hair is so long and probably heavy, I don't think it will stay in while doing lots of cartwheels. That's a lot of vigorous exercise - good for you. You can try it though and use a lot of bobby pins to secure it. You'll need more that 3-4 like I use. It may mostly stay in and some of your hair may slip out, but that can look really nice. Give it a try and let me know.

  • i tried it and when i jumped one side loosened up but it made it look really cute~ so thank you so much! =)

  • I agree. This style can look so pretty when it gets loose. Gives you that tousled look :o)

  • can u show how to do a bun with a ribbion

  • Hi, that's a lovely addition. Simply select a favorite ribbon and tie it at the base of the bun and leave the ends hanging down either side. Thanks for commenting :o)

  • i love ur nails<3

  • I love your hair its so long and pretty!

  • wooow ur really sweet i hope to see more of your videos :)

  • I have not. Thanks for letting me know. I have gotten quite a few comments about the different names bobby pins have in the U.K. It's amazing. Here we just call them hair pins or bobby pins. Glad you liked my video :o)

  • @YouTips4U I call them kirby grips!! lol!

Your vide is good too! :)

  • Hi, I am very athletic in that I exercise regularly at a very high intensity. I hope I answered your question properly. If not, write me back :o)

    Glad you liked my video!

  • pretty!!

  • Lol, bobby pins :D

i just call them hair pins in england

thankyou for this, i needed to do something interesting for my friends party, and my hair is SO long

  • You are very welcome! Isn't it funny how different country's have different names for the same object. What's also funny is that I only call the small pins bobby pins, but the larger ones I call hairpins :o)

  • im from england and i call themm grip pins! hehe i love the name bobby pins for them though !

  • yeah, me too :) i call them that in my head now XD

  • U have so beautiful skirt in this vid!!! Cool choice!

  • Thank you! It's definitely one of my favorites to wear.

  • nice lolzzzzzzzzzz

  • Everytime I've tried to do this, I never get the bobby pins in correctly. I always get too much hair in them, or they just never secure the hair enough.

  • Hi, try weaving them in and out with small amounts of hair from your head and the bun. Hope that helps :o)

  • Bobby Pin Is A Curby Grip For British :P

  • yeh i cant do this either lolz cuz my hair is down to me knees n very heavy :P

  • thanx but my hair is very long so i can't do it....!_!hm it is very long:S

  • Lucky you :o)

  • i'm i???

  • can u please tell me how to make sure that the shampoo is rinsed properly specially with a mug bcoz i dont hav a handshower

  • Hi, keep rinsing until your hair and scalp no longer have any suds or feel soapy and the water runs clear from your head. You might want to try using a pot with a handle instead of a mug because it will hold more water for you. Hope that helps :o)

  • her nails are so long

  • Plz cut your nails...lol jk

  • In twenty years, I've never figured out how to do that. I always have to properly tie my hair into a ponytail first and only then use the bobby pins to secure the bun, otherwise the bun just won't hold...

Those larger bobby pins look neat, never found them here in Finland!

  • Hi, I'm so glad you found my video helpful. It's better for your hair not to ponytail it first (ponytails can cause breakage). Once you practice a few times, you'll get it down pat. Thanks for your terrific feedback :o)

  • your hair is so sensational!!!

  • i have long hair, but i NEVA tie it up, and my mum gets anoyed, but if i do , i dont mind , i like the style youtips4U has done,

  • Hi, I'm glad you like it :o)

  • in england we call bobby pins, grips

  • yer, lol x

    LOL

BUT THE UP DO WAS SIMPLE

    TRY SUMMAT LIKE:

  • you must work out because you have muscles!!!!!!i like you rnails<3

  • We call bobby pins, kerbies in scotland :)

  • Hi, thanks for sharing :o)

  • Kerbies, lol

  • Looking good and totaly mezmerising arms and shoulders. Excellent muscles ;)

Pls show us a real hard bicep flex from all angles. ;) :)

  • Oh wow, i learned something new today! Reason why my hair buns never worked was because I didnt use bobby pins. I like updos =) Great vid, 5 stars!

  • I love this look it's so cool! I'm trying it right now very loose like you with my bangs hanging a little, it looks really nice! Thanks for the idea:)

  • I'm so glad you like it. Thanks so much for sharing your feedback!

  • hi I tried to access and leave a message on your blog, but it wouldn't allow me to sign in! So anyways, I have a question, I am looking for how to's for my hair..I am getting married next month, I have long(sane length as yours) thick hair, and I want to do an up do, the front up, back down with lots curls, do u have any tips on this? thanks!

  • Hi, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! How exciting!! Your hair sounds beautiful and I think it would be gorgeous worn partially down as you planned. I think you just sweep the front back and secure at the back of your head. Then curl the hair that is clipped back so it hangs in curls; then pull tendrils out in the front and curl those as well. Attach some silk flowers and rhinestone pins or pearls into the hair that you pinned back for a beautiful look.

  • thanks! im gonna try that! (=

  • i got hairs that reach half the way my back...and i got some long bangs too....will this updo help me ??????

  • haha u said "i like my buns" anyway, i LOVE your videos where r u from? u sound lik your from new york =D

  • haha.. funny that you pointed that out.. lol that was good :P "i like my bunns!! XD

  • hi

i just wanted to say thanx for the video

    it helped me alot :D

i have butt lenght hair and its really thick so putting it up in a bun helps me alot so thanxs =]

  • lol bobby pins they seem to never work with my EXTREMELY thick hair but i'll try seeing all my friends say my hair would look great in a bun but i think otherwise lol thanks for the idea i'm going to try =]

  • Hi, please write back and let me know how you liked it. I have a suggestion: you may want to try using the large bobby pins with your thick hair. They may work better for you. When you insert them into your hair, be sure to kind of weave them in by grabbing the bun and scalp hair at the same. Hope that helps!

  • thnkk you ferr being my life saverr

  • You're welcome! What a lovely thing to say :o)

  • Two small claw clips or the Good Days hair pins would work well, too. Some of us have thicker hair that laughs at bobby pins.

  • Thankyou so much! I wear this everyday now. It looks gorgeous on you.

I agree with the arms hehe:)

  • You're welcome! I'm so glad you like it and thanks for your kind compliment too :o)

  • Wow, you have really nice toned arms, wow!!
