  • Great job Nick! Very nice accuracy with the head shots. We are proud of you and look forward to seeing your boxing skills progress. Train hard! George

  • Great Job Nick!!! Keep up the hard work and you will make it far. Im bringing my daughter and son down to FL to train at your gym so we are looking forward to meeting you.

  • Hey Nick its Brandon, nice fight. Im 1-0 and since your now 1-0, we could match up. Maybe next USA Boxing event we could pre-match up? Im sure all our fans would love to see this, lol

  • @120pkid Yes, many of us would love to see it. But, comparing Brandon's amateur debut with Nick's, and especially comparing the opponents, I think Nick might want to take one or two other matches first. Of course, it's not Nick's fault that his opponent was so weak, but Nick hasn't been tested yet the way Brandon has. This one will have a lot of boasting rights attached. Thanks, guys! FIGHT ON!

  • @120pkid Nick would be happy to have a match against you in the future, but he's going to get a few more matches in to get comfortable with boxing first. He just started training a few months ago, and while he's done some striking competition in the past, nowhere near as much as you have. Give him a few more fights, and we'll be in touch.

  • @sidstiles Cool, i have two months of boxing. Ive only had one amatuer fight. But let me know when your ready. Are you still training jiu-jitsu?

  • It was a good performance, but Nick needs to be tested against stronger opponents than that. His opponent put up a game display but was totally outclassed - he had no idea about defence and in all honesty I think the ref should have stopped it sooner. Lets hope we now see Nick in the boxing ring again soon, he is clearly good at all fighting sports. Has he taken up boxing for its own sake or as a step towards becoming an mma fighter? Hopefully it will not prevent him continuing in grappling

  • @pony73 - We had no control over who his opponent was, it was set by the event promoter (the opponent was one of the event promoters students) - both boys showed up ready to compete, Nick was just better prepared. Nick is doing boxing for boxing, not necessarily MMA - he just really wanted to try the sport, and will be having more boxing matches for sure. Nick will still be grappling as well.

  • Good fight! Congratulations on the win! Very accurate shots to the head, but don't forget to work the body too.
