I am horrified! How can you steal the babys blood like that? After birth you need to let the blood flow from the placenta to the newborn baby, it's his/hers blood! You shouldn't clam the cord until after it has stopped pulsating. The baby gets about a third of it's wole bloodsupply this way. (Remember it is circulating via the placenta in the womb!)

People get many infections and diseases from blood. They only have a few categories for blood-type A+, A-, B+, B-, O+,O-, (I think these are all of them).They test for these types only. @eternityandforever this is an argument of science vs. christianity, but that does not mean you have to make a choice between the two. i am a christian happy with my faith, but i also believe that cord blood IS a tool we can all use to save a life.

when my younger brother was born two years ago, my mother chose to store his cord blood for us to use in the future. in this case, there is ZERO possibility for ANY disease to transfer...

even tho the cord was clamed before you take the blood that means nothing to the baby did the cord stop it self or did u clam before the cord was done pusating this is why my son has brain damage ans spots on the top of his head that show how his brain suffered i think it is very wrong and i think you should stop using cord clamps let mother nature do its job not a bunch of pepole looking to make money from these babies that will pay the rest of there lifes STOP WTITH THE CLAMPS

@packman46360 There is a proper way to cut a cord and a proper way to clamp. There is a procedure to follow and maybe there was the problem. There are really millions of people born this way and there was nothing wrong with them. I don't even know how can anyone prove that the cord clamping was the cause of damage. A lot of babies in the womb at some stage can have an oxygen deficit and this can also be a case.

Have you taken the whole 90ml how much did you leave for the baby just born about 30 seconds ago? this is a common practice a how much do you get from the stem cell bank, and how much do they charge those who need it ? or do you give it away for free, how much will you charge the mother you took it from as she will need it, but by then it will be to late, the Brain will be unrepairable and so will all the other organs etc etc rnv09

you do realize that this is collected from the cord AFTER clamping so it does not come directly from mother or baby and actually is normally thrown away as medical waste? if donated, cord blood collection costs mother nothing and if banked it costs whatever mother and private bank arrange for.
