awesome - tho if yr a novice at PS you'll need to know the key strokes to copy, merge etc etc but, I got this spot on - had to tweak it a bit but that's the beauty of tuts - adjust it, experiment as you go along. Five stars from me :o)
great tutorial even for cs5! one question though, where did you get all those brush textures? I only have two! (i am using the cs5 trial version) does it come with the full version?
hey LOVE the vid thank u very much for doin it its great!!! Keep them coming this is one of my favs to check my steps thanks..
but there is one thing instead of cutting out the planet it would be better to pres ctrl+i to invers the selection and then press delete so you dont have to delete all the layers and go there unneeded steps it would be a good idea to learn hot keys if u havent already.
Your very good at the tutorials buddy. I currently am trying to make one using "Camstudio." I find it very difficult to speak to my computer LOL! I understand how the layers work very well. My problem is Im very self conscious. I worry about the outcome of my tutorial LOL! I'll get it. I just thought I would thank you very much for your tutorial. It taught me some things. :D
you are really good man! :) I'm really into making planetary photos nowadays... never made one with rings tho' very courageous of you to give it a shiot...looks pretty good
Ive been doing photoshop for a few months now and im self taught, just using other tutorials and stuff working off them, fiddling trying to make my own effects. I havent been doing much PS recently though.
I say click the texture option in the brush options window and select your texture from the list of textures. Well thats what i was meant to say lol sorry.. My mistake.
Although I just got another problem , at 6:23 when I'm going to erase the atmosphere (after Ive linked and merged the two layers), I can't seem to erase the outer glow, only the inner glow and the planet itself. The layer pallette looks just as it should :/
If u open up the brushes menu -> textures, click the arrow right to the patterns. If u opened it u see some patterns, but if u like right, u see another arrow pointing to the right. click it, and then go down until u see rock patterns. click that one. if u clicked it u got more patterns, including the black marble one
okay thx for the tip, and yes you showed it in the tut, but i don't have the black marble thingy in the texture zone. but im going to try all things i can think of :P
Hey, thanks. Well to get the rocky texture you need to open the brushes window and select tesxture once in that you can just select what texture you want. Im pretty sure i put it in the video. To get it to look right it is pretty much just trial and error untill you get the right look, best advice i can give to get it right is to just play with the settings.
Hey can someone help the only textures i have are tye dye and bubbles
