put down the girly weights and pick up some 50 pounders, what is this crap you need to bulk up regardless of being a runner or not. I guess some people don't like to be bulky with toned muscles
@Sheep0989 LOL! Yes, you're correct, if you want to bulk up, then increase the weights. This workout was designed for runners. A runner needs muscular endurance not bulk. Sounds like you're shooting more for hypertrophy (bulk). Bulky muscles look great but they're not going to help you on that 20-miler. The traditional 3 sets, higher weight, lots of rest in between sets using 67-85% your 1RM is best to get that bulk you want.
@RunnerDudesBlog I disagree, my brother is 230 pounds mostly muscle, hes a big guy and can run 10 miles no problem. I think no matter how much muscle you have, as long as you do cardio with weight lifting you can achieve anything you want. most bodybuilders don't like running, and most runners don't like body building.
Just like to know what kind of diet do you suggest for breakfast, lunch and dinner to achieve a lean body similar to yours. Hope you could post here your suggestion soon. By the way I am following your instructions whenever I do my workouts on a daily basis. Thanks for posting your helpful videos.
