Thanks for the replies! I can understand your point of view. I hope you will receive the recognition you deserved for Sade's original work! Since thousands of Sade fans like myself frequent this site, I'm sure you will soon! Thanks again!
Did I just see myself in this video? Yes I was there that night. I was a total new-waver, and along comes this band that is not at all what I expected from the U4. To this day, I listen to Simone, Coltrane, Webster, Peterson,& Co. (and Sade) because of this night.I almost didn't want to admit it then, as this was "established" music, and not synthesiser pulsating yoohoo. As my friend with eye liner said to me that night: "Wow. Cool." Almost a 1/4 of a century later, it still is. Thanks Paul.
Andrea- doesn't ring a bell with me. But Conny (the guy at the door) was there up until a few years ago and from what I heard recently, is back again. He is quite an authority on the ins and outs of the people and the trends that crossed the U4 - I've even seen him in a documentary on Austrian TV rolling down the groups and fads that spanned his tenure.
Yes you can love..
