Not a retard, normal cat sounds, along with screaming in a tub. I have had LOTS of cats and NEVER had to give one a wet bath. They do tend to take care of that little maneuver for themselves. I've had one that sounded exactly like a baby whenever I left him and he was one of the smartest animals I've ever had.
