  • why would you use such a crappy song to test a subwoofer

  • what a fuckin mess, if you want people to be impressed cable management is the way to go! and i like how 2 of you lifted the sub lol

  • @SaucyBegger25 I know this is an old comment, but I couldn't help myself. The set up is just temporary. They were doing a sub comparison. So I doubt they would want to hide all the wires just to take them back out later. Also, the weight of a single LMS Ultra is over 86 Lbs. So yeah its easier to lift one in-box with two people.

  • If you really want to hear and feel strong bass the sub needs to be further away from the listening position. A 20hz signal has a wavelength of approx 49.2 feet.

I once built a system where we put the sub in a basement under the listening room, using a single Dynaudio 30w-100 and the sound was phenomenal. We did however have to remove the door to the basement as it tended to add a lot of distortion to the program material.

I bet this would do well in a transmission line down firing application.

  • @HiFiman4u Dynaudios are the only speakers I've felt 15hz growling through through the floor...from a pair of 5.25" drivers. :) That was on the old Audience 42's with good Krell power.

  • I don't know why you would position your main speakers in such a way to produce early reflective waves?

  • Dj stuff should be left for the karaoke PA speakers that sound like shit. The bass that dj equipment gives you is way too boomy and short. These kind of subs need long deep bass like in a car. The only dj equipment I would use for a sub like this is a dj power amp since they offer more power than any home amp out there.

  • you must be high. tc audio subs are the world best sq subs.

  • @bob505470 Well no shit they are great subs! I was talking about what he is powering them with. I do not like the way DJ equipment sounds. I like EQ'ing subs really really low so they sound like the bass you hear from a car.

  • @kzalldaz ok i get you now i would do the same thing

  • @bob505470 opinion...

  • @2:32 Less peak motor force / / / / ? ? ? Are you kidding at almost 28 Tm you have got to be joking. These figures are higher than 90% of everything else out there in the audio industry !

  • He was talking about his RE XXX 18". It has less peak motor force than the LMS so it needs a bigger box.

  • i was about to say this is really gay just a whole bunch of dudes sittin around listening to queens...but then i saw the beer so its fine you got an excuse lol

  • better song plz

  • Sorry . . . But I think that this song is a little bit more respected in the Home audioi world then it is in car audio. Granted The Ultra is used in a lot of car audio installations there are probably more home audio enthusiasts spending cash on names like Audiopulse then there are car audio!

  • Don't get me wrong this song does this sub no justice . . . and not even in a ported enclosure! What a shame!

  • This was the DVD-Audio version of this song. When the bass drum hits you can feel it kick you in the chest when played through a good subwoofer like this. We played a lot more through this subwoofer. I'm still trying to find a program that will let me cut the videos down to a better more youtube acceptable size.
