PAL SNES with 50/60 Hz Mod

There is a UK PAL SNES console on sale on ebay that has been modded to play PAL and NTSC games.

Theres a picture on the listing showing Earthbound (and other games) being played on it with no adapters.

The console has got 2 switches, 1 for PAL/NTSC and 1 for 50hz/60hz.

Just search for 'SNES console PAL NTSC' on ebay and it should show up.

Looks awesome, you can also choose the color of the power light.

Was it from 'k1ng_aw'? Thats the person I got my console from.

I also got a Sega Master System with 60Hz mod from him, Sega MegaDrive 2 50/60Hz and PAL/NTSC mod.

The game slot lights on the SNES are awesome, I asked him if it was possible to have the lights change to red if in 60Hz and blue when in 50Hz and he done it. Also an extra switch to turn the lights off. I paid a little extra but it was well worth it :o)

I have an NTSC copy of Stunt Race FX, which detects the 50/60hz thing and will only run under a 60hz snes. If I perofrm the 60hz mod and use my import adaptor will it run? Thanks!

Now it's clocked higher, does it speed up the PAL games a bit as well?

PAL Games are also at ~17% more Speed.
