Great Vid :) I reckon this would have been easier (and quicker) if you put a mask on the Stone Henge Layer rather than cut it, but its whatever works best for you :D
give some highlights to the ground too.. its still looking un natural.. i really like your videos and always wait in my subscription for ur videos.. but thts just a suggestion.. hope u dont mind that!
What would you usggest for trying to get a sky behind a bunch of trees? I wanted to replace this horrid overcast white sky I had, but the trees and and their many fiddly branches were in the way. I tried to do it, but there just so many white bits. I was there forever zooming in and clicking to add in the every single spot of white sky between the branches and the leaves to the selection. Surely there's another way? Great tuitorial notheless though. :)
i only have a question. i m still new to photosop could you plzz tell me how to resize the sky we pasted into the picture we wanted the sky to be changed?
I never comment on anything, so i hope this tells you something. been working on a certain picture for 3 months, tried everything just couldn't get it right. your tutorial helped me out a great deal, got it to where it's acceptable.
Most of us know that you are one of the best tutors for photoshop. I first saw your tutorial in Gold proshow. You REALLY MAKE everthing easy in photoshop. Not to mention the way you speak and explain is SO CLEAR. keep giving us your brilliant tuturials.
You make things seem so simple and quick. for months I wasn't able to grasp the feathering thing totally, and this tutorial was so helpful. Love the way you explain. Thanks so much, from India...
hello thanks for your cool tutorials if any one is interested in 3d studio max and illustartor tuts with some web2 photoshop stuff ill garentee you be impressed with my channel. very easy to comprehend and learn cool techniques thanks
Selecting trees is tricky. All those tiny gaps between the leaves make the magic wand almost impossible to use. Select trees the same way as you would hair. Look for tutorials on creating an Alpha Channel.
thank u gavin for the video lessons well explained and simplyfide 5stars cheers m8

I would do this first:
Removing fringe pixels from a selection (Photoshop) ... Choose Layer > Matting > Remove Black Matte or Layer > Matting > Remove White Matte.

One question boss!
When i paste the sky into my original image it dosent cover the full image its quite small.
What might be the problem?
Thnx.
goaindiagoa 2 years ago
Your new sky is a smaller image (less pixels) then your original. Either choose a bigger new sky or try Free Transform to enlarge it.
