  • This is my favorite Wren song so far. The way she sings "If this is the bottom, then why am I lost again?" gives me shivers.

  • @Saturninefilms I want you to now this is my favorite song of all time. Seriously this is so good. I wish this was more popular but at the same time I'm glad it isn't, like it's my personal thing away from all the mainstream crap. Thank you.

  • This song is really good

  • Damn heathen atheist and your beautiful soothing music.

  • I love the feeling of getting tired, when you're just about to go to sleep, right before you're done listening to a beautiful piece of music like this so it can be stuck in your head as you drift off into sleep.

  • I can't fucking stop listening to this. Awesome song.

  • @tkelley0812 yes.

  • @C99tv Eh.. I've heard him say that, but it's not specific enough. Look at the difference between dubstep and trance, for example. They're barely similar.

  • @Sethris134 A lot of electronic musicians label themselves as "Electronic" when they can't be classified as anything else or if they produce a lot of different genres instead of just one set one.

  • @Isosyth Yeah, i understand that. I was just inquiring about whether his music CAN be classified as something else, or something more specific.

  • @Sethris134 Ah, I see. Not sure what I'd classify his music as.

  • So what would this be considered, ambient DnB? Maybe even going as far as saying it's a sort of trance?

  • its raining newspaper clippings.

  • @iamwarrenhardie Thank you

  • where can i buy this?

  • I just replayed this 5 times in a row.

  • Awesome!!!!

  • brittany. i will listen to ANYTHING that comes out of your mouth.

  • @ChaosConRad Yeah haha me too, her voice is amazing.

  • The songs are catchy but I fuckin' hate these electronic drum tracks... they are awful

  • Who are all these beautiful girls your taking pics of, eh cody? ;P

  • this music makes me STIFF in a good way

  • ditch the girl and her lyrics.

  • @lastmondaypast1 these are his lyrics.

  • Is it just my imagination or is there an instrumental version of this song in one of your earlier videos?

  • Just curious do you use the software reason? I use similar multi-ocilators and drums haha. Beautifully abstract as always.

  • I love this song. Keep it coming cody :P

  • Youtube needs an auto-replay button

  • @euro2019 make a watch later and have this be the only video, it will loop until you turn it off

  • Wouldn't this technically be MOUSE as well? What exactly is WREN anyways? Codys solo work with guests?

  • If I made a million dollars, I'd donate 100% of it to artists like you, Cody. For the sake of humanity, keep this alive.

  • Haters gonna hate...

  • so good

  • Not gay enough!

  • BRILLIANT!!

  • Love it!

  • I'm glad this video doesn't have many views, at least we can consider ourselves lucky to have listened to such a nice tune. :D

  • Dude, I've been waiting forever for you to use this music in a song and post it. You've played it on your BlogTV(without the vocals) a few times and I just loved it. Glad I can listen to it over and over now.

  • As good as the10 last years of mtv !

  • @PiratGeneralen I meant better :D

  • i want to marry everything posted on this channel.

  • This is the real problem with music today. It's too repetitive. No one cares about the art of composition anymore

  • @AbsoluteZ3R0 Word dog.

  • @AbsoluteZ3R0 repetitive music isn't a recent phenomenon? "art of composition" is also subjective.

  • @valentinesandghosts It is a recent phenomenon. Have you ever heard of classical music? The art of composition may be subjective to some extent but our western roots have a rich history of extremely complex and technically proficient compositions that used to inspire popular musicians but now apparently it's ok to use the same chord progression over and over again for 2 minutes straight. Song forms are also pathetically simple. Very little effort is required to write a song. If I were a pop song

  • @valentinesandghosts writer and if I were ok with writing repetitive melodies, harmonies, and motifs I would be able to write an entire hour-long song album in a week.

  • @AbsoluteZ3R0 What an asshole comment. It's not about how complex the music is, it's about what it makes you feel. You feel bored (I guess), while other love it. Music is about as subjective as it gets, and still, you think you know what's right and wrong, good and bad? Allow me to laugh my head off.

  • @AgainPolliwog The value of a piece of music can be measured objectively by the technical proficiency of the compositional elements used to compose it. Sure, what sounds "good" is subjective, but that doesn't change the fact that the emotional appeal could be much greater with further musical development. If a Beethoven symphony could be compared to a work by Shakespeare, then today's pop songs are mere greeting cards by comparison. If you find this analogy condescending it's because your

  • @AgainPolliwog perception of my view is skewed. Consider literature, we start off in kindergarten reading picture/story books, and we progressively learn to read more complex and well-written works over time until late high school we've acquired a taste for fine literature such as Homer, Shakespeare, etc. The training process is not the same for music. We aren't trained to listen to more complex works of music as we grow up, so when it comes to music, most people never gain the listening skills

  • @AgainPolliwog to surpass the "picture book" level of music, which is where most popular music is today. This is the reason why well-trained and skilled musicians tend to love classical music and jazz, and why non-musicians find it boring. It's the same reason a 3rd grader would read Nietsche and find it boring. There is objective greatness in music, but most people (including yourself) don't have the training or skills to qualify it.

  • @AgainPolliwog Let me further clarify that I am not trying to argue that the emotional appeal of a piece of music can be measured objectively, but the elements uses to create that appeal can. For example, I myself can listen to a piece of very well-written music and find it boring, but that doesn't take away from that piece's objective value as a composition. For example, you might find Shakespeare boring, but that doesn't mean you would call his works "bad" or call him a bad playwright.

  • @AbsoluteZ3R0 I can't decide if I agree with you or not. Yes, a piece can have a value as a composition, but who or what decides what dictates that value? Is it how original it is? Is it how many different themes it has, or how many (or few) times it repeats a certain part? Maybe a really simple song, is just as brilliant as one of Mozarts symphonies, but for completely different reasons. Any way you look at it, it's never completely objective.

  • @AgainPolliwog The objective appeal of a piece of music is dictated by the elements used to create that piece. Originality is, to some extent, a factor, but what I really mean is the variety of textures, harmonies, thematic development, counterpoint, phrasing, use of motifs, song-form, etc. It's like an author employing various literary techniques and to enhance the quality of a novel, rather than just telling the story. Sure, maybe these things will all be worthless to a listener, but that

  • @AgainPolliwog doesn't take away from the presence of the extremely complex and nuanced micro-elements that are used to create the bigger picture. I agree that appeal is entirely subjective, and you could say a simple song is as brilliant as a symphony by Mozart, and maybe in some ways it can be, but the key difference here is that a Mozart symphony employs far more advances compositional techniques. It would take years of rigorous compositional study to replicate his style, whereas writing a

  • @AgainPolliwog song is something that, with enough talent, comes rather easily.

  • Nice. Yay for Tim! And was that Dusty I saw?

  • mp3's please? haha...but seriously...I schwant.

  • normally who cares about a guy looking at a fallen tree but good cam work n cool music make all things epic

  • what camera do you use dear?

  • 1:14 - oh fuck! Someone divided by zero!

Great video! I love your art.

  • BUNNIES! well always enjoy your stuff. After watching videos like this have to admit it keeps me motivated more then anything I can find on TV.

  • this is an amazing one. i love it.

  • Sneaky chicago beard

  • YAY! ALSO THERE WAS A BUTTERFLY IN THERE! You're very good at this. Do this forever and make a lot of money right now.

  • I love all of these featuring Brittany. She's got such a beautiful voice.

  • so you have a gay partner now?

  • i love this song so much :D

  • There's some great stuff in here, but a little less schizo editing and quick cuts would be good. It would be nice if some of the scenes unfolded more naturally. There could be such a great story told with that photography and music but over editing didn't give me a chance to appreciate the scenes for what they were. I know you're making a point, but it's constant and a bit over the top to me.

  • @kyebean it's ironic you called it "over editing" when all it is is a bunch of photographs sped up to look like motion. lolwut.

  • @valentinesandghosts I'm pretty sure there is some video in there and if not it's some kind of rapid fire camera mode that is basically equivelant to video but with an interpolation effect. Even if it was just stills, I think it would be better with slower transitions.

  • It'd be cool to remix this a bit, give it a more drum n bass vibe, but then again, it already has that vibe already. Really nice tune! Beautiful video, as well.

  • awesome :)

  • Simply amazing, great job Cody!

  • fucking great. I love it. so when are you gonna sing, Cody?

  • fuck this is amazing.

  • a little too much male nudity for my tastes but the song was waaaaay better than the last one. cool stuff

  • @WyldOrbit to each their own ;)

  • thw was beautiful Cody

  • CAUTION: may induce seizure

  • IS PAPER MACHE ON THE INTERNETS SOMEWHERE???????????

  • Is "Death will be like blinking" on the internets somewhere?

  • Cody makes me stiff ;-)

Yeah, I went there. Nice song, cool video. Keep up the good work.

  • Incredible Cody. I like that you aren't famous, it has more meaning to show this song to people who matter to me and see them ''feel'' it. Amazing work. Amazing vocals. Brilliant production. Amazing photography.

  • love the song more every time i hear it, and love these picture montages.

  • and where can i please download this?

  • Sad that Cody is infinitely more talented than all these assholes on Youtube, like the MysteryGuitarMan, but doesn't get the level of recognition.

  • @AssRapingHorseCock mysteryguitarman IS talented...but i do agree that cody deserves alot more recognition than he has currently

  • @Senbonzakura1989 Doesn't take a whole lot to play guitar multiple times and overlap it with a video editor.

  • @AssRapingHorseCock Well im not exactly talented in that dept. which is why i give him props regardless; taking the time to make them in itself is an accomplishment; i wouldnt be able to do it hahaha :P

  • Good song, Great Images.

  • why aren't you more famous? :D this is a great song!!!

  • Tim <3

  • I'd call this awesome or amazing, but really, the best compliment I could possible use to describe this is simply Wren.

    Keep up the amazing work.

  • The breakbeats.. I love them.. This song is great, bro.

  • Thanks for making another great video Cody.

  • want it on spotify!

  • 56 people are hipster scum.

  • @t3hsauce calm down, people are allowed to like what they want to like, they arent liking it purely because its not mainstream (and be extension, underground/unknown) and percieved as cool by lots of people

  • @spaztard52 Don't give a shit. I'm a fascist, and only my preferences matter.

  • love this! the song is great!!

  • I'm loving this music. Very good, Cody.

  • how do you reduce the frame rate like that?

  • @zARCADEz stop motion

  • @NoMoarOxygen not all of it is stop motion, some of it is film , i dunno if he cut the frames out or w,e that would be pretty meticulous work, so i was wondering if thers an 'easy' way to reduce the frame rate of film footage like that

  • Comment removed

  • I am glad that there are still Sapiens that make Art

  • @SynerJetics I'm not glad that pseudo-intellectuals who can't capitalize are still around.

  • incredible song and an amazing video. i can't stop watching it :D

btw: who's the person on 1:31? i'd love to draw him :)

  • Quite simply incredible, one of the finest pieces of music in recent time. You, as well as Brittany, have a real talent.

  • Dude your shit is tight. You should look into publishing, so if any of your stuff ever gets picked up, you can keep all of the money instead of half lol. Just saying, I've been making music for a long time, and I could definitely see your stuff being picked up for movies and shit. You just have that sound. Keep it up.

  • Cody you're so fucking amazing, with just a camera you can capture life and make it look so much more appealing than it is. Your artistic talent is amazing and i wish you the best.

  • very nice

  • You seem to have so much fun in life while still maintaining time to admire the beautiful things.
