  • Yayy! Just damn fun!

  • This should be our National Anthem!

  • Thumbs Up if Being Human US brought you here :)

  • Powerful.

  • I'm watching this video in London. Makes me bloody proud I'm not a pom. God I miss home.

  • i just saw my mate's face flash up on the vid. fuck it gave me a fright lol

  • I had to write down what lyrics I could catch in Bones while I was watching it on a ripped up index card in crayon. My dedication paid off- this song is just as great even while I'm not watching Hodgins sift dirt for a bullet.

  • Thanks to Bones for putting this track in that episode, Just heard it a sec ago and had to pause the episode just to find out what this amazing!!!!! song is, Love it!!!!

  • what a cool country! Vote Phil Goff!

  • just heard it on bones. great tune. i found it fight away. thanks everyone. ;-)

  • Great song. Bloody top video that one, amazing first half to it. I saw these guys live at Lincoln University Garden Party '11, was just gold.

  • incroyable!!

  • @jetsgo100 merci!

  • i.l.t.s. = I love this song!

  • man the second I heard this song I loved it... bones has a really nice soundtrack :)

  • The nose touch at 0:37 just melts my heart.

  • WE ARE, NEW ZEALAND!

  • Just the same for me... just seen Bones and I was immediately caught.

Thanx a lot for posting !!

  • Why was a song about New Zealand on Bones? Just wondering. :)

  • @SuperSoupysoup Hum ... No idea, Hodgins was searching through turkey's defecations for a bullet, actually ^^.

  • How do you pronounce NZ's real name anyways? Is it like Aye-oh-tear-oh-ah?

  • @stuffums A-OH-TEE-AH-ROW-AH

  • @stuffums yip thats the one

  • if you want a (poltically neutral) song that epitomizes NZ, it's Killing Joke's "Under a Southern Sky"

  • I'm not fussed on the song, but very good video. Shame about some of the comments below. This is supposed to be a celebration of NZ, not a political witch hunt.

  • New Zealand music at its greatest good job :)

  • CATCH MINUIT IN CHCH

look for the maddhatter on fb for more info

  • awesome pictures..of Aotearoa. Love the pink and white terraces

  • i heard this on bones and i was like" hey this is minuit1 but they took the aoteroa part out," lol its still cool though coz its a great song and helps us get our talent out there

  • NEW ZEALAND!

  • a good song but very full of propanganda

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY which bits are the propaganda?

  • @pauanui the happy shiny people parts. Could they have put some people on welfare in this vid, or do they not exist in NZ?

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY ha, true, well, Minuit sent out a request for people to send in a photo that showed who they were as New Zealanders, a pic that represented themselves, so that could've been anything - these are the ones that were sent in, all pics were included.....

  • @pauanui ive seen years of shit happen here, maybe you have too. For example, Use to flat with a Maori guy that cut his wrists one night in an attempt to end it. The next day the landlady was scrubbing blood out of the carpet in his room. His arm was in a sling, he told me to lie and tell others it was some accident.

seen all the dirt and filth, people suffering through NO fault of their own. Then these right winger hypocrites come in and slam them down

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY maybe thats what the song is about?

  • @pauanui possibly yes, this is not a band to underestimate. Arguably anything could be read into it. But it is an incredible track

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY check credits copied in the info box above and liner notes from band pdf

  • Comment removed

  • the girl at 2.42 is really hot!!!

  • the girl at 2.42 is really hot!!!

  • I saw two people I know well from the school I went to in Nelson, in two different photos in this clip; that is awesome! This reminds me of that history of NZ clip they have in Te Papa. Watched it last time I came back home from Perth; damn near started crying. Came out so proud to be a kiwi.

I was disillusioned when I left home but the further afield I go and the longer I stay away, the more I grow to fiercely love my country again. And its stuff like this that fuels that fire.

    ♥ Aotearoa

  • This is the best NZ tourisim video ever!!! Mini cash it now and get every

merit badge you can. Plus your music is gold.

I left NZ and didn't thing I'd ever get homesick.

    ♥ Aotearoa

  • aoteaoa <3

  • Inspired some heart felt patriotism - Proud to be a Kiwi after watching this. Going to go climb Mt Maunganui(Mauao) and appreciate the view now!

  • Will keep an eye out for the next version ; ) Niggly?

  • @KiwiKnowles I'm guessing by "climb" you mean "stroll up" :P its more of a gentle hill than a mountain lol... better views up the kaimais or ruahines !

  • This is my new definition of Awesome! Love the song, and the editing in the video is sooooo well done. :D

  • Try 2.35 into video......

  • Love Minuit! YEARS ago when I used to work @ Ministry in chch they played to a fairly sparse crowd and it was friggin awesome... went out the next day and bought the 88... hooked ever since then -- keep up the AWESOME work guys! You ROCK!

  • Number one contender for my silver scroll vote- love it- the song & the vid. Cheers!

  • Having Parihaka as the first frame makes me so incredibly happy

  • I'm loving the crew braving it up at Phat at 2:10

  • Ok...it's now publicly official....

    I'm a Minuit fan...

    Kia kaha, Aroha...

  • Great song. If Minuit were from Wellington instead of Nelson it would be the national anthem by now!

  • Guy at 2:13 has crazy green eyes.

  • @pauanui Sweeet! Thankss.

  • Should of been the rugby world cup anthem 2011...

  • @WAKASKETI Hard!!

  • Tu Meke - Nice way to show some of our history and that because of turbulant past this is what we have now become, today there is still an underlying current of discontent but for 3 minutes and 44 seconds you kinda forget about that - Awsome to see Darcy Clay - great beats

    Mauri Ora

  • I still cant see Dave & Selena, aka. Mr & Mrs. Phat...

  • Enjoyable.

It looks likes New Zealanders lives are made up of drinking, sea, or drinking by the sea.

    Amusing.

  • Amazin! made me feel homesick, but in a good way. It's comforting to know the vibrant, unique culture I'll eventually be returning to :-)

  • Go New Zealand music makes me feel good to be a kiwi (and thats coming from a 13 year old)

  • Great song, great video!

  • heard this the other day via live streaming on Kiwi FM and fell in love with it... <3

    God defend New Zealand :)

  • this songs freakn awsome nz music is by far the best in the world

  • This band makes me proud to be a kiwi (;

  • buzzandhum - the whole purpose of the video was for fans of minuit to send in photo's of themselves in NZ...they composed them all (as many as possible ) into the video as a homage to the real people out there....It's a tribute to our country and the people in it...."you and me"

  • Real nostalgic trip from my fav NZ band. Saw them first time at Wonderland and Ruth and the lads blew me away. She mesmerizes ppl like very few can.

  • Jeeze, did Minuit jump the f*^king shark, or what? Nice start to the video, sombre clips to sombre music. Then, bang, it looked like nothing more or less than facebook friends photos at a million miles an hour.

Awful awful stuff. If minuit didn't annoy me as much as they already did that video would cement it. Crap. Crap without content. New Zealand? Not my f*&king New Zealand.

  • dont watch it then you dip shit im sure theyre not quite as sombre as your mum

  • well am from greece..but when i listened to this masterpiece it really took me to other places..far from my citys decadance...

  • So keen for Minuit in CHC this week :D

  • Awesome, I'm now living in Wales, and this has made me very proud and I want to jump on the next plane home...mind you it is coming into winter over in NZ so I'll leave it till the Summer. Great Track and Video

  • @ TheSnapmovies Lady Gaga doesn't come close to this!

  • @Hannes262

i agree. i hate lady gaga but A LOT of nzers do. the lady gaga shows are already sold out in far bigger venues than miniut shows which are usually in small place and getting tickets is easy. its sad but thats the way it is.

on the upside thats good for those of us who are into the good nz bands. go surf city to

  • nz produces amazing music but in general most nzers would rather listen to lady gaga and black eye peas. go figure.

miniut are awesome though seen them a few times and each time they get better

  • in general most NZers would NOT rather listen to lady gaga......

  • @no1discostar

whats our most popular radio stations? the ones that dont play miniut etc.

  • @ TheSnapmovies

yeah i agree with hannes and no1discostar, lady gaga and most mainstream singers coming out of the states at the moment make me wanna throw up with how shit they are

  • makes me want to move home miss you newzealand

  • I'm sad to think I've somewhat missed the boat with Minuit. I'm only discovering them now - where have you been all my life?!

And I second the national anthem comment, far better than the funeral dirge of a song we have going at the moment.

  • @jsgg, jump aboard anytime..the boat pulls into shore constantly!

  • Finally! And I'm shocked at how many views this got after 3 months...was this song really popular in NZ? Im in the usa btw.

  • Not really....dont know why though, minuit arnt as poular as they should be.

  • Which is kiiiinda a good thing, makes hearing them @ places like Splore awesome, and yeah, I agree this is a good candidate for NZ Anthem :p

  • yes asfrost, it was very epic, you sneaker deleting person you.

  • LOL @ Lenny @ 1:43

  • New National Anthem much? Maybe add a few extra lines, but the guts of it is there. Much more honest and uniting than God Defend NZ.

  • Such an absolutely epic tune. Hearing it @ Splore on the weekend was quite frankly one of the most epic feelings ever.

Epic song, epic surroundings, epic sky, epic lights, epic everything.
