I like how certain players have challenges that most people simply overlook as normal or typical and think that its just impressive to get out of an abusive home , but players like vernon davis and patrick willis who came from little rose to greatness.

Steven Jackson is a great example of a well rounded man that benefitted greatly from having a good father growing up in his house. I don't want to get all political but 73 percent of African Americans grow up without a father in the house. Steve's father was obviously a great role model and a great influence on him. Just look at the results. A good guy who did well in school and who acts responsibly in the community. Forget the athletic stuff, I'm more impressed with Jackson's character.
