Anyone know how long this game lasts approximately? I have played it for like about 3-4 hours now and am wondering is it already near the end?

Is it just me or did anyone else find this game scary as fuck!? Seriously I'm not a complete pansy ass to horror games (I thought Dead Space was boring). I just played it for one minute and some guy starts running after me out of no where! I must note that this game is not TOO scary (t's "just what the doctor ordered" really), now Amnesia is too scary! My whole face gets chills that resembles a feeling of numbness. Yep... love and hate horror :)

The story is beautiful...the physics of the guns are BETTER than the ones in Black Ops and BC2Vietnam, and I'm talking about the PPSH41, Mosin Nagant, and the SVT-40...This is a Science Fiction game and I actually loved it. It's similar to Necromentia.But you better have a fast CPU and a good videocard, preferably NVIDIA because they made PhysX. For me it ran kind of slow because my PC is outdated.My specs are AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 4400+ 2.30GZH, 4GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 1GB video card

Cool review. But I couldn't help but comment when you said it reminds you of FEAR, when in actuality, this game reminds me more of Condemned series. But then again, you might not have played those games. Informative review, nonetheless. I'm still buying it though. Halloween sales has plummeted the price to $5. A must buy at that price.

the main character isnt meant to be fucking masterchief, hes a crewman thats trying to unravel the mystery behind his crew. if your trying to compare this to bioshock with great story and fighting its because he was a super person. this game is more silent hill with great set pieces and shitty fighting, great storry, alright gameplay

I've got the i7 960 and a GTX 470 (which essentially is the same as ATI 5870 performance wise). The game lags when you use the machine gun and in certain instances where there's flashing lights. Generally runs smooth except for that. It's just not a well optimized game. Metro 2033 actually has a more stable framerate at max DX11 settings than this game. Still, this game is a trip and worth playing.

this may sound stupid but plz tell meh hw do i know if ive got physx on my new comp, there is an option in cryostasis which ses hardware physics and ive turned that on, but i cant really see all the water effects as ive seen befor, nvidia is definately running but how do i know physx thx guyz :)

i dont agree with you on the gliches part!,the game works perfectly,i have intel Quad Core processor and it is suported by the game,and i dont see any grafix glitch on my nVidia 9600GT OC ,the gameplay is slow but fun and interesting and it works for this type of game!

Your Cryostasis Review just sucks man, complete it and then make a new one. I am really disappointed about this. That game has the best story I´ve seen in a while.

He didn't finish the game, that's for sure. Else he would have mentioned that the story's conclusion is quite possibly the best ending to any story in video game history -- no, that's not an exaggeration.

Cryostasis's story easily eclipses its gameplay, but gameplay isn't so horrible as to make me stop playing ever. Never as frustrating as this guy makes it seem.

In short: Buy Cryostasis, screw this review. Cryostasis has the best story of an video game, BioShock's included.

I read it last summer, and everytime i finished reading a chapter and took a break. It was like awaking from a small icy nightmare :), its amazing. The atmosphere is so real, and well.. The feeling that best descripes the book is icy frost and blood. Lots of it.
