  • I am a member of the Lakes High School Concert Choir and this year we sang the song, Praise to the Lord at our Fall, Winter, and Exchange Concerts with Chapman University.

We used a recording of St. Olaf's version of the piece to get our sound down. The whole choir listened to it then we sang it. In my opinion we have quite a while to go till we're up there but we're working on it.

    That was just B E A utiful!!!

  • Thanks for stopping by.

I wish I couldve made it to St Olaf's Christmas Concert. I caught some of it on PBS channel 2.

They put on quite a show

  • Boy, when you just lay your arm down on the keyboard and do an insane dissonant chord like that at the end, there's just nothing - even a great synth patch or pipe organ - that can duplicate its beauty like human voices. I could listen to that 'til I died of hunger.

  • I am a music student at St. Olaf currently I have seen and sang with the last few months for our Christmas Festival, and I believe this director is the Viking Chorus' and Chapel Choir's Director Dr. Chris Aspaas. He is also one of the only, if not the only, member of the choir to direct the choir on an international tour when Dr. Armstrong went ill and appointed Dr. Aspaas to direct.

  • Nope.... This was not conducted by Dr. Aspaas. He is one of TWO students to conduct the choir in public. The other one is the guy in this video, Lukas Warren.

  • You are right about that. I know Lukas and asked some one who was in this group is this was him and it is. He is a great guy. But also, as I stated before, Aspaas is the only student to ever direct a performance on international tour.

  • Not sure who the director was. I

would like to go to the christmas concert this year, havta see I suppose

  • i LOVE Hope Faith Life and Love...too bad it was cut off. :(
