Try 91% rubbing Alcohol. Put it in a fine spray spray bottle and fire away. Make sure it is warm outside

hey this is kccknight. in response to who said axe sucks----i ended up getting into pyrotechnics and chemical explosives. i bought schedule 80 pvc and now i am using very explosive gases in it. and yes, a pneumatic gun works GREAT!!!

lol, ive done 1,200 meters with pneumatic 3/4 pvc dart, and i dont use a pump, c02 tank, pneumatics are more powerfull than combustion, has been proved. 3200 feet with a potato slug, yea my sweet ass!

5280 feet in a mile, over a half mile, and it wanst a potato. it was a tolite paper tube with a golfball attached to the end that fit donw the barrel wiht 25 ponds of force. and wiht a potato cannon wiht a 5 inch expansion chamber, and a two inch barrel over 5 feet long, tis very possible. its been chronoed at 1100 feet perseond. shut the fuck up fagg

hey dont use hairspray----it gummed up my combustion chamber i had to take it apart and cleat it

axe bodyspray is awesome but dont hold it for more than 2 seconds or it wont combust

Try using Aerostart,the shit that starts wet engines or anything simmilar. Works fucken amazing here in Australia. And for a shotgun style effect, add long nails and bolts pushed into ya potatos,Good for close range upto 50 to 80meters as long as the potato has a nice seal into ya barrle. Max damage all the way!Cheers

we've been using MAPP gas (similar to Propane); it's super-clean and pretty damn flamible (as you can see!)

If you use spray deodorant instead of hairspray it wont make the threads on the cap stick, the deodorant also has a little bit of butane in it.

There's a better design using a pvc clean out connection on the combustion chamber. This gives you a sort of handle with a thumb activated trigger. Also I'd put a little longer barrel on it to increase distance. I've got one I made several years ago. The local authorties around here made them illegal calling them an "Explosive device" but I still get mine out every now and then. They have awesome power. I use Right Guard for my propellant. I really liked the glow stick idea.
