Nice car, just one slight issue, attaching your harnesses to your rear strut brace is dangerous. If you did have a shunt the rear shock tops that it's attached to would just snap leaving you with a face full of Momo steering wheel!
Hey, awesome job on the car. I really hope mine ends up to be as nice as yours. I liked the suede interior. I hope i can make mine suede. Also I wish mine was RHD like yours, totally adds that exoticness to the car, well its probably like that cuz of where you live, but i never see RHD in person. Wish I had one. check out my GTI if you want on my channel. Its a work in progress but it gets me to work on time! Five Stars for a sweet ride. Bravo, and congrats.
love the car man. what pistons did you use and why the carbs? wht not the electronic fuel injection? but still a really nice car :) 5 stars BTW what year is the car?
he mate they are custom... the dash and all the interior has been trimmed in leather and suede! the door builds for the speakers you can buy from a company called audioscope.. not the cheapest tho.. hope this helps pal.
the engine is soooo strong!!! ive not had it on the quater mile yet but i think it will suprise a few people!!! it pulls and pulls!! even at higher speeds... the sounds unreal when you drive it!! ive had turbos, supercharged motors but the carbs have a unique grunt... puts a real smile on your face.. not the biggest bhp but has very useful torque and is lightweight... go on do it..!!! let me know what you decide..
hi... thanks!!! i got a local vw/audi specialist to do the carbs as i had them stripped down and re-built..
to be honest i dont think its a massive job!! they ripped the fuel rail off and injectors, plugged the head... the inlet manifold was taken off replaced with a polished inlet with the carbs! throttle linkage, fuel regulators, and i think you need a different dizzy!?! there is very little room for the carbs so you will need the smallest trumpets you can find for the carbs....
not sure!! i love both 8v and 16v.... my 8v really revs and compliments the car i think!! everyones going for big bhp but with that you have a big engine more weight!! my 8v is nimble and has really good torque right through the gears.. let me know what you decide to do!
Thanks.... euros always the best look for the mk2s!! i lived across from dubsport growing up and used to see some of the best dubs around at the time rolling out of there!! they did the first twin engined baby blue mk2, used to poo my pants everytime it went past!! haha
Please watch in high quality and let me know what you think... can you rate too as peeps dont bother and it only take two secs!!! thanks guys and gals.
I was watching this video like 20 times!; congrats bro!!!:)

What grind are you running on the cam? I'm looking at possibly dosing up my 8v rather than a 16v swap. 1993 VW Fox US Spec.
corymavis 3 years ago
hi mate its a newmans race cam... just straight fittment.!!! deffo do up your 8v...! good luck
jammybobblehead 3 years ago
What Grind? 276, 300?
corymavis 3 years ago
300 degree... bit too much tho my mate has the 276 in his mk3 8v gti
jammybobblehead 3 years ago
I want high revving fun though, I've got a 2L 16v on 27grinds and it revs nicely through 6,500 rpm but I really want around 8 or 9,000 rpm redline.
corymavis 3 years ago
get your block sorted... my 8v has uprated pistons allowing it to rev higher sure you can do that to your 16v.
jammybobblehead 3 years ago
Would you think that the 16 v would run better or my stock 8v? I have an 8v in my Fox , should I just stick to that or swap the 16v in your opinion?

Pretty MK2. It's not too extravagant or too simple. It's in a perfect mood.
