Timber Harvest Grouse Hunt

I have a place in northern wisconsin near the UP and there are so many grouse

im 13 and live in Minnesota and me and some of my family go up to Hibbing MN and i was he only one to get grouse and i got for of them. I had a very good time and just a few days ago i got my first deer it was a small buck.

ya i hunt the thick swamps of northern wisconsin for birds it is fun but thicker then this way thicker and wetter and the grouse are awsome one year had 23 flushes and got 8 birds in 40 acres (yes out of the the 23 flushes some may have been the same bird but there were more then 8 for sure = ] hahahah

wtf? where i live you can easily shoot over 100 grouse each season. they are like freaking rats up here lol.

From Minnesota and I am pretty upset on how management is here. About 7 years ago I did amazing in a few counties. But, now I can spend 3 days in the area and not see anything.

a good year for north western pa ull get maybe 15 flushes a year and ull be lucky to get 4 haha

Sorry to hear you guys walk so much for one bird. Yesterday I walked 4 miles and had 14 flushes and shot two birds in Northern Minnesota. Our new pup (Yellow Lab) now has bird fever! good luck hunting this season.

what they mean by extreme sport is the amount of walking through thick brush for hours on end to mabey come home with nothing....it happens to me alot.

same, i was hunting today for rabbit and coyote in waste deep snow for five hours, got nothing, but had a big coyote pack howling at calls i made
