  • One of my favorite videos!

  • She is just wonderful!

  • nobody knows this song and the singer??

  • What is the name of this song???plssssssssss

  • Yes, please tell the name of this song? I love this video where did it take ace?

  • can anyone please tell me who sings the song el manga? and where I can find it, ive been trying really hard to get that song...thank you!

  • I still have trouble understanding how this video is still not the most viewed video on YouTube?!?!?!?!

  • Dandash rules my world!

  • I love at 2:08 when she does the "Suheir Zaki'

  • this is probably the best video on YT

  • I LOVE DANDESH

  • very nice percussion section. not many with that sense of rhythm around anymore. this song and singer sound a lot like adawiya, but its not him. very nice energetic song. about the title, he's saying "kamanga" the instrument - not manga.

  • Tito Puentes' contribution to Mambo is well-known, as are the contributions of Willy Colon and Celia Cruz. Cruz was recorded on Cuban radio at age 7 and made her first record in 1951. One lesser-known figure is Arsenio Rodriguez, one of the true fathers of Salsa. A blind drummer in Cuba, he began to evolve the Salsa sound from Mambo in the early 1960's. for "babetiger12"

  • ZAGARHEET!

  • Beautiful Dancing Dandash, as always! Aiwa!

  • BRAVO, Dandash!

  • watch NESRIN TOPKAPI !

  • Epitome of Egyptian dance. That performance was brilliant!!!!

  • me fascino este video :)

  • Wonderful video Yes! But do not be judgemental and rude about other peoples interest, like the fusion of bellydance and the many different likes all aound the world. I am open to all forms of dance, it is inspiration and the passion of dance that makes it all fun. To start poking and pointing fingers on who is right or wrong, now that is what starts war. Expression and the eyes of the dancer are truly amazing. This is a video I will pass on. As for styles of dancing...I enjoy learning

  • SO WORTH REPEATING! Thumbs up!

  • Exactly! You obviously truly understand real Egyptian dancing, how it is done and how it should look. It is not a hyperactive highly choreographed thing where the dancer makes everyone turn away say: "foreigner" not Egyptian. Dandash is dancing in the music not chasing. Most Americans and Europeans do not really understand about this dance. It is "relaxed" yet that may be the hardest thing they try to do and get it right. The worst example is BDSS. Let us make a circus

  • I blame the teachers. The first lesson should be understanding the culture and just letting go and flow with the music.

  • Great

  • PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no doubt Dandesh is perfect !

  • lebanese girls are beautiful and talented its just a different showmanship I guess

  • I love this video bc the singer tells her to dance like other great dancer such as Samia Gamal, Suhil Zaki, Najwa Fawod, Fifi Abdo, and then like Dandesh herself. She is one of the best, most elegant belly dancers.

  • Ah, so that's what it was! Hehe. Thanks for the info. I love how she dances.

  • So this old song is called West Kamanga, or Wist Kamanga, but who used to sing it, so we can find it on cd or tape ???

  • Perfectly stated. That is exactly "IT" with Egyptian bellydancing. It is not about those redundant boring choreographies that are everywhere. A lot of American/Euro dancers dont understand. It is about THE FEELING with great Egy dance. Not cramming a million different steps into a show, props galore or have this huge movement vocabulary, we dont want to see that. It is all about a limited, minimalistic, simplification. The strong woman, passion, expression, rough/rawness that's real & perfect.

  • true what you say, but when u r working for jobs, you have to consider the audience, and unfortunately the western audience looks for different things...so u have to wear two hats, one for the eastern audience true authentic bellydance, where i only improvise and play with the audience, and the other more stylised and choreographed...that way u can make a living out of it! afterall one flavour ice cream doesn't have to be everyones favourite does it?

  • I disagree. If you are performing Belly Dance in a Arabic or Turkish Establisment You should Perform to the culture of that establisment otherwise you are go go dancing in a Belly dance costume. After all They dont have this problem with Latin American Dancing. The Cha Cha /Samba/Rumba evolved & spiced up. BUT they changed the name & The Evolved dance became SALSA. I have never had a problem with Europian Audiances or any for that matter.

  • I don't disagree, but I do NOT perform in an Arabic or Turkish establishment ONLY... I actually go to peoples Marquees for weddings on Islands, or at their homes in their lounges, at Chinese festivals or other ethnic festivals, and you shimmy on stage and the audience is so far back and all they see is a boring dancer in the uneducated eyes... and you don't get asked back... so, until such time the people r educated about the dance, I do have to consider this. I prefer dancing the Egyptian way

  • salsa is not an evolved version of cha cha, samba ,rumba.who ever told you that is not really knowledgeable.

  • Bebetigre.TThough Acredited to Cuba The Salsa is more the Mambo ( Italiano) than The Rumba or Cha Cha. I used it to make the point as to the evalution of Dance! I DiD try to message you the whole history of Salsa But You Have blocked your message service & have no where to leave comments on your Site! So if you wish to continue This Discussian "Unlock your Message Service" so as notto bore everybody riged on A TRUE BELLY dance page with Latin American Dance! somthing most have no interest in.

  • In The same way that you did when you were telling me that Bellydancing came from India perhaps you would like to repeat tha on this site It seams you know nothing of any dance at all & are Just Attention seeking & looking for a Fight! "BeBetigre"

  • First of all the salsa sound was created by a Puerto Rican Hector nothing cuban about it.

  • Utterly right EAP - I prefer this relaxed style over the over choreo'd ones. And she's SO subtle, but what laypeople don't see (people who've never seen the bellydance) is how hard it is to do this stuff. They think wellt hat looks easy...

If i ever get to this relaxedness in my dance, i'll bea very happy woman.

  • Right-and this is the reason why she is my queen

  • Very nice - and great isolations. she looks like she's having a blast onstage. Like the arrangement (music), too.

  • What is the naem of the song so i can find it on itunes!?

  • Every time i watch this i'm in awe. She does so little but so breathtakingly well she out dances all thes 'trick' modern style bellydancers to me. It proves you don't have to have lots of flashy backbends and splits and all that to make a great performance. She oozes style and just gorgeous isolations. Plus she's lush and curvy to look at - so many of the modern girls look too wiry!

  • LOVE IT so so much

  • LOVE IT

  • She makes me smile and feel all is right with the world. Its what every great dancer does.

  • very elegant egyptian dancer :)

  • Dandash tiene unos movimientos preciosos ¡me encanta!

  • she is truly fantastic.

  • i love dandesh (°)(°)(°)

  • Dandash is not only gorgeous and natural, but her dancing is REAL from the heart and soul, Egyptian all the way. She is great, one of the alltime best bellydancers.

    Brian al-rafic (EAP)

  • So. Much. Fun! I love that she's paying such great tribute to "the greats". But my favourite part of this video is seeing the crowd really get into it, and stand up and join her. Awesome.

  • magnificence

  • I love her energy and playfulness!

  • Este é um de meus vídeos favoritos. This is one of my favorite videos. Ela é incrível. She´s great.

  • I love Dandash! I've been lucky enough to see her live. She's a wonderful dancer and a sweet person. She can imitate anyone. At the show I was at, I could only guess a few, but loved them all.

  • yah it is nice to see a girl with actual hips doin this. in this these days people forget what a real figure is..She's amazing.

  • You can hear him calling out all the dancer's names...and I think he does say Dina before she does the pointing at her belly-dina thing.

  • a great lady, a marvellous dancer-for me this is pure egypt! I want to see more of her!

  • shes real goood, nice figure nice to see big woman struttin their stuff x

  • Simply excellent ...

  • This is an excellent performance, she is great. You can definitely get this song on CD.

  • omg! Her hips!

  • Isn't she adorable? I just love those hips

  • I love it when she imitates Fifi, she hit bulls eye. Really cool she is a great dancer.

  • The singer sings in the first "WIST KAMANGA" it means the hips are like a violine, and that is a really old song. Maybe 15 Years or so... and than the singer sings his own words. Maybe you hear "WARINI FIFI" it means "She shows you FIFI" and than Dandesh dances like Fifi. This is also a song which you cannot get. It is the song for Dandesh with lyrics for her.

She is dancing very nice, so fine...

  • I could watch this everyday,wonderful.Such control,such a lady.

  • she is great..so natural ...

  • Excellent, love it.If you listen carefully you can hear the singer call out the names of the different dancers she is imitating.Well done.

  • Truly inspiring, excellent, this is what dancing is all about.

  • Excellent.

  • Does anyone the name of the song?

  • her hip work is great!

  • reminds me sooooo much of Sohair Zaki!!

  • Good eye. This is Dandesh's Manga routine where she imitates famous dancers like nagwa, fifi, and samia, tahia. I will have to watch my Sohair Videos again and compare. She may be imitating Sohair as well.

  • Kira, in this version she does Samia Gamal, Tahia Karioka, Soheir Zaki, Nagwa Fouad, Fifi Abdou (what a scream!). I think there's another version in which they also add Dina. It's a very cute dance and really shows her talents. I saw her live in Cairo in 2000 and wasn't impressed, but I'm coming to the conclusion that it must have been an off night.

  • Ooh, I thought the parts where she points to her belly like Dina does, was copying Dina. But thanks for the update.

  • They did say warini sohair zaki. She is copying her on one part.

  • very controlled small somooth moves, egyptiaN

  • I LOVE IT

  • SAMIA GAMAL, FIFI ABDO, SUHEIR, NAJWA, DANDASH ALL EGYPTIANS BABY

  • 好美啊!

  • i love this video,

  • i like dis, vry traditional bellydancing.

  • I AGREE

  • wow her hips move like butter!! :)

  • Dandash is great!

  • That was amazing!!!
