  • a lil' bit of everything in my puss..carrot,cucumber and my favourite is fake dick.

  • Thanks a lot Chef for uploading these videos...all ur recipes r extremely delicious !!

  • You should change your username to alittlebitofsanjay :D

  • why did u name this tomato rice? It supposed to be little bit everything rice.

  • ur videos are amazing chef !!!!!!!!!!

  • good video but can't hear the audio

  • Mr Sanjay, can u please give exact measurements.. i know ur a pro and just base the quantity on personal judgement.. but some of us are novice!

  • I like how he uses fresh tomatoes compared to some other videos that use canned tomato sauce. However...I can't help but wonder...with as many ingredients that are in the rice...can you really "taste" them?

  • good work..helpful to many of themm....Thank u Sanjay !

  • he is just damnn awesome!! i love his cooking...!!! i jus love em... bt one thng aint clear here... he says add chopped "green chillies" here bt the thng he added actually looks like "green capsicum"... can anyone plsss verify it? n lemme know?

  • @anuluck92 Actually what he has used is Serrano peppers, they are larger than the usual Green chillies from India or Thailand.. they are spicy. what the Vah chef has used is certainly not Capsicum. I hope that clarifies your question. happy cooking!

  • @nndeetaa Oh Thanx a lot.. But we dun get it here in India right?

  • @anuluck92 well you may not get the exact same thing, But you can definitly use the usual green chillies that you get in India, Infact the ones from India have a better flavour. You have better luck being there let me assure you.

  • u r my inspiration when i was married i even dont know how to make a simple cup of coffee after following ur show i have started cooking and nw i have become perfect in cooking and my husband loves it...u r simply superb.......... u r the best chef i feel.......

  • chef where do you live.In the other vedio you said outside its snow I m wondering where do you get this curry leave.becuz as far i know we get curry leave in india easily and grow easy ..however i am living in wyoming which is a very cold place .Can i grow curry leave in such a snow place.thanks.

  • @hmarswenson Grow it in a pot and bring it indoors when cold.

  • he always tastes food whn its steaming hot.

  • Oh man, I just love tomato rice. Just watching him make it is making my mouth water!

  • little bit of corainder :D :P the dish is nice though

  • Diced tomatoes are used in this. Can this be done using tomato puree

    ?

  • @Jahnavilakkireddy You could probably substitute chopped canned tomatoes.

  • Thanks!!!! I tried it n was Fabulous!!! :) :)

  • I just love how keen our chef is :)

    Cheers mate

  • I just want to know whether this recepie can be cooked without chana dal & uaad dal or not ?

  • I want to know that this dish can be cooked without chana dal & uaad dal . If we dont add these dal , it will taste good or not ?

  • @MrsBhawnakhanna1: Yes, all the ingredients for tadka are optional. Adding urad and chana dal makes it crunchy. Some people add the full urad (not the split one) instead of the split urad dal. Try variations and see what suits your taste. Where I live I also get the full chana dal, I use it. Tastes just as crunchy.

  • awesomeeeeeeee............. i like it...... chicken wings kaise banate hai coke(coka cola) mey..............ya chicken drumsticks kaise talte hai

  • a little bit salt?? :O omg that was a lot of salt.

  • I've tried many recipes ov urs n they've really come well. I'd be glad if u mention the exact amount of ingredients for your recipes.

  • really nice nd tasty..

  • it might be more useful if u put up the quantities .. too many "little bit off " none the less its a nice recipe as far as ingredients are concerned.

  • Too many rare ingridients for supposedly "simple" dish.

  • That looks really good man. Sounds delicious.

  • imagine what would happen if the camera would melt on top of the pan

  • @jaswand haha what an imagination ! then the dish will be called Camera Rice

  • thats one delicious looking lice man, thanks

  • @Yumoshrub ohmagawd i forgot where sanjay was from!!! pls help me

  • @sonne2 Tamil Nadu but can speak Telugu fluently

  • @juneg1964 No, i meant what show?

  • @sonne2 It is not a show. He does this on his website. We can buy DVDs. I bought the popular DVDs you can go his website and see all the shows for free and learn. He is good and show all these for free. I love his programs. Makes it so simple and enjoyable. In fact I started cooking and I enjoy so much.

  • @juneg1964 he is from andhra pradesh/telugu guy...he himself told this in one show!!most of his south /indian dishes have ANDHRA flavor!!

  • @anilbobbili I am sorry for some reason I thought he is Tamil guy. Adding hinge in most of his cookings goes with Tamils. He mentioned in one of the videos that his mother made something which is common in Tamilnadu. Wherever he is from he is simply great. By the way, I am a Telugu guy too (Nellore). Thanks for the info.

  • @juneg1964 No issues...his name is Sanjay Thumma and originally from wesrt godavari dist . Initially even i thought he may be from TN but tahts not the case. By the way in some areas/communities in AP hinge is added tin their food.Anyway Sanjay is an amazing cook and he brings back all the old memories by cooking a lot of authentic andhra dishes.

  • great stuff!

  • his recipes are very good.. even i am able to make yummy rice items..

  • he will say A PINCH and put tea spoon...he will say tea spoon and put table spoon....o god...he is soo funny...i love his recipes

  • I agree. everything he says li'l bit, pinch and I used to feel oh that's more. So I stopped listening to what tsp or tbsp he says, I look at how much he adds and does accordingly.

  • hey sanjay, thanks as my native is banglore, i love tomato rice, and after long staying out of my country......u made me feel as if i was eating this dish in india......u really make tougf dishes soooo simple........ thanks

I love Tomato Rice , thanks

  • Hi sanjay, i really like all your recipes and the simplicity of your presentation. i never have to consult my mom anymore .cooked the tomato rice today. all loved it. thanks a lot for this moment.

  • is the rice you added 100% cooked, or 70% and then you steam it?

  • Awesome tomato rice, tried&came out so well chef.Thanku so much

  • very nice recipe thanks chef!!!

  • I have made tomato rice many times in the past few years, but it was just my version of the recipe. The little extras (garam masala, cashews, red chilli, hing, ghee etc.) were never there in that recipe. Just now made tomato rice with Sanjay's version, and it turned out truly Tomato Rice! Thanks Chef!!

P.S: I love the way he cooks informally. Thanks to umpteen 'cooking' channels, cooking has come to being a display of cooking ware than actual cooking. Here he sticks to the basics. Awesome.
