Of course the Europeans you speak of are showing affection. These Americans have no idea what affection is. All that matters is how they appear to others.

I have a lot of respect for Shawn as a gymnast, but I think she kind of looks like Chyna in a leotard. And she does tend to have trouble talking over her teeth. I haven't seen her lately. I need to check her out.
i was doing some calculating and confirmed that if shannon used a 1 1/2 yurchenko on vault and average out a 9.959 on her vault, that would of been enough to give her a silver medla... but even if she scored a 10 she would not get the gold
actually dominique moceanu DID do gymnastics! she was in the running for the olympics in 2000 but injured her knee & had to withdraw from trials. she made a comeback in 2006 but due to political usa gymnastics stuff she wasn't allowed to compete at nationals. she just had her first baby on Christmas, so obviously she's not really competing right now. ;-)
Dominique Moceanu was a really pretty gymnast.I'm a gymnast myself,and I've seen that a LOT of the elite gymnasts aren't pretty.Dominique was and I LOVE her voice.She's my favorite gymnast

I can't stand it when reporters ask an athlete how it feels to lose. How do you think it feels??? Moceanu handled herself with poise and maturity.
I'm glad Lilia won though. She was everything a gymnast should be.
