what do you think the weight limit on the bar is?

i don't know, i asked around at the hardware store and they were clueless, but i know this is the pipe that several gyms use for pull ups bars, at six feet long and multiple users at a time, i think it will support what i can pull for a few reps, at least so far it felt pretty good... I'll find out I'm sure.

pretty dope. did you put the insulation inside the black pipe or between the pvc and the iron pipe?

between the two pipes to keep it in place. I had to bang it against the ground several times to get it all the way in, it's not coming out.
