You can slice and fry the green tomatoes like zuccini, dunk in egg and flower, sprinkle with garlic salt, yum; or you can make green tomato chutney with onions and raisins in it, fyi. Keep making videos!

Another great video. Things here in Ohio aren't getting any better. Quite the opposite. More and more jobs gone everyday. We have always been a farming/manufacturing state. The farmers are now sitting on piles of "grown for ethanol" corn and all the manufacturing is GONE! Its a real shame. Just months ago we had, General Motors, Chrysler, For, General Electric, Goodyear etc all doing great and employing thousands and thousands. Now, they're just turning in to memories. Times are real tough

i hate to say this and it might not help our economy but I some times work for cash. Like this weekend I'm going to weld a frame on an old car because the people can't aford a new one. I'll prob be done in four hours and make $100. Nice to hear your thoughts. 5/5

very true my friend, and well said. a lot of the work down here is mostly part time for most folks, finding full time work is hard to come by. and we hear that we are coming out of this recession, will see. i see you are getting some of that cold wet rain we have been having down here, keep stocking up on wood my friend i feel winter is fixing to bare its teeth on us soon, call it an old farmers intuition, great video my friends, will be watching for more.

Do you think it's the right time to lock into one of those natural gas or electricity plans? With comercial use being down and the Canadian dollar being high prices aren't bad compared with the last few years. To save a few bucks you might want to turn down the thermostat on the hot water heater overnight. Also the electricity flows through the wires even when your lights and appliances are off so buy unplugging things or switching off circuit breakers overnight or in unused rooms can save $.

Don't buy gold sell it. Gold is at an all time high. Now is the time to purchase goods and services before inflation rises and while prices are low. Have you considered fixing small engine equiptment over winter to sell next spring when prices rise? You should look up Austrian tile stoves if you want to maximize heating with the least amount of wood burned. They store heat in their thermal mass and there's kits made in Canada or you can just buy building plans.

Here in the states, there are no real jobs. Or at least where I am located. I guess I could move hundreds, if not thousands of miles away from all my friends and family to have a job that may pay $15/hr. , but why? We need jobs here! I pretty much am trying to work for myself. I try to do my own thing, and although it's starting slow, I'm at least doing something!!! I'm trying!

There is a correction coming in October / November for sure, all the "experts" seem to be saying that. Seems to have just begun yesterday. Once it's done, I think there will be another decent recovery until April though... I might even put a little money back into the stock market for the first time since all this began.

We all found that out with that power outage we had a few years ago. Generator sales went up after that!

i got a economic collaps i got laid off on sept 16 08 and on sept 17 08 is when the collaps happend the stockmarket had crash and 3 different lending instutions calaiming bankruptcy makes u almost want to commit suicide

yes they can 8 months ago were very deffernt for us as to now there are 4-5 possiblites for us yet all of them can go flat

The more independent you are the better off you are. The more you can be self sufficient, and do things yourself, is the less you have to worry about.

Don't rely on anyone accept yourself.

With a second stove will consume wood faster, and make sure you keep your chimney clean.
