You should tie your headphones to prevent them from damaging, and you are doing completely opposite.

Hey nice simple video good stuff; only thing i want to add is that when you put the earphones into the hole you might want to give them more slack as the earphone mess up. But good easy to follow video

something to take into account is that wen ur wrapping it, dont pull on the cord too much coz u'll stretch one of the main wires inside and over time, it'll snap...

basically, giv it some slack
