AEM did a dyno run on a stock SRT4, they put out 265 WHP. Its commonly accepted that the SRT4 has about 280 BHP. A stock 2001 Mustang is about 230 WHP.

And there's a decent weight difference between those cars... SRT=2,899lbs.3,006=GT For each 100lbs = about 1/10 sec in the 1/4. srt must be really modded.

Mustang GT is faster than Dodge Neon SRT-4 for real. Mustang GT is a stock and SRT-4 already mods. Mods always win over stock. If the GT is mods then GT will smoke this mods srt4. There are no compares which is faster. Most important is depends on the drivers with manual skills or automatic.

Actually... a stock mustang gt (99-04) runs almost the EXACT same time in the 1/4 mile.. stock for stock. 13.9-14.1. It is a complete driver's race.

u are correct. if its a 5 speed it is a drivers race. but an auto, like this one, has no chance without the srt missing a shift.

you think a 5spd GT would even hang LOL...I've had no trouble dispatching any 2V that's running all motor. It doesn't matter anymore as I sold the SRT4. Plus I gave him a head start for fun and I trapped almost 111mph in the 1/4mi...aka from the roll like in this video he didn't stand a chance. Plus I held the camera while shifting so I couldn't roll through the gears as fast as I would have liked ;)

Unfortunatley sir, you are wrong. A stock Mustang GT (99-04) and an SRT-4 both run 13.9-14.1 in the 1/4 mile stock for stock. It is a complete driver's race.

Once you get past like 70 mph the SRT is going to pull away quick. I like mustangs, mostly Cobras which would kill almost any SRT anything except maybe some Vipers

Oh really? Thats funny because I've owned 3 different 99-04 gt's. A 2000, 2002, and a 2004. All stock. I've ran times ranging from 13.9-14.4 all at the same flat 1/4 mile track with the time slips to prove it. It all depends on the driver there bud ;).
