No I am not the guitar police. Just a polite FYI. Vivian does not play the open G chord you keep hitting. He plays a barred power chord on the bottom three strings (fingers 1,3, and 4), and with his barred 1st finger he upstrokes the top 2 strings on the 3rd fret (notes D and G). Watch any live clip from '83 and '84 and you will clearly see this.
