I was at that show at the Cow Palace too! NO WAY!!! My first time seeing DM....totally loved Voice Farm...I bought this album in fact. Totally original band...really good times back in the day.
Wow....I remember going to see Voice Farm at The Edge in Palo Alto and The Oasis in San Jose every time they were there. Love that there are a few perfomance videos here now.
It is great to see all this new interest in Voice Farm. I worked with them doing merchandise sales, and some lighting during '87-'90. I can't wait to see what the new site is all about.
I happened upon them at the I-Beam on Haight Street. Damn, they were fun! Oblong Rhonda was the icing on the cake. I wish there were some video of their stage performances. I'd line-up for that.
I was blown away when I saw Voice Farm open for Depeche Mode in '87 at The Cow Palace in SF. Then I went to just about every Bay Area show of theirs for the next 6 years, including a road trip to see them perform at The Roxy in L.A.! Good times...
Yeah, they were a great band and put on a great stage show. Loved the whole "Oblong Rhonda" (sic?) dancers. I wouldn't be surprised if we were at the same show('s) as I saw them so many times I lost count. Remember the 08/08/88 show at the club that was on Natoma in SF? Good times indeed!
Yes, that was Club DV8. My roomate (at the time) and I were front row / center for dozens of their shows and we memorized all of Oblong Rhondas moves and danced along with them during each show. At one show in Berkeley Charly and one of the female dancers (the one that took her bra off on the official live video) pulled me up on stage during the last song ("Thank You")!
I ♥ VOICE FARM!!

I've never heard any Voice Farm other than the Bigger Cooler Weirder album, so this is a treat. Thanks for uploading this!

Yeah, I used to have blast at I-Beam and Voice Farm was a huge part of the fun back then.
Thanks for posting! I'd sure like to hear more - my VF cassette wore out long long ago.

@DryOatmeal42 Hah... I was there too, friend... I was disappointed to miss Nitzer Ebb, but Voice Farm made up for it just fine.
