You could have used wood from the stock you cut off to form a plug. It looks better than wood filler. You still need a bead, but overall it looks nice. Classic old school sawed off. They do handle better w/ a stock though.

Yes it does look old school and I do like it . I never sawed off a rear stock before,as I like the feel of full stock for accuracy ,but what the hell I am always looking to do something different from the norm. Nice job! P.S. Where can I get a fore grip like the one in your video that is smaller than the feild style Winchester 1200's which I am fixing up for tactical use.

A shotgun with a barrel length less than 18" is not illegal unless you have a BATFE tax stamp registering it. It depends though, if you live in a state that does not allow it like NY, then BATFE will not approve your application. I own 2 short barrel shotguns in AZ. The tough part of the process is parting ways with the $200.00 and the 2-3 month wait. That's the feds though... long waits....

you should round off the back end with sandpaper and various chisels...I think it would held the grip alot if it was more of a pistol grip and be alot more helpful when fired

i once had a berreta,nice gun , it had a faricated barrel just the length of 8 shells and the tube stoped right where the barrel stoped and the handle was totaly oldschool cut to the pistol or likeurs just shorter and rounded,was a nice piece of work and shot on 10 meters or 11yards with5 to 6 inch spread. wish i still had it

Get a form F 5320.1 "Application to make a firearm" from the ATF . Figure out how long the barrel will be when you cut it down to the mag tube; DON'T cut the gun until you fill out the paper, pay the tax, jump thru hoops etc etc and get your tax stamp and approval letter from ATF. Then you can cut the barrel down legally. Make sure to read and follow all rules, otherwise it's 5-10 in club Fed, and there is NO parole in the federal system.
