For watching porn very quietly at 3 in the morning? Well it's not completely. The woofer cone moves ever so slightly but that being said I can't actually hear any bass at all. So practically yes you can. Technically? Not so much, a few watts do leak down the power feeds to the bass driver making it move, but like I said not enough to make any sound.

Don't worry, your parents wont hear it. =)

In the "newegg" site its 30 odd dollars cheap.

There is a huge size different, I mean the Z5500 Sub has a 10" Speaker. So u can just imagine the size of the Woofer it self. But G51 is a pretty good performer as well.

You can't get a better sound than the Logitech Z-5500.
