youd don't need to climb the ceiling to hit it, just stand where there is no water, wait for it to charge at you, well timed jump w/ missiles.

if you dont want to take too much damage cuz you are a noob at this game like me, just stay on the right out of water and not on ladder next do door. then blow ladder area up for space and when he runs tward you jump aim diagnally right at him and shoot missle/charge beam. when he shoots his missles, charge and shoot them alll in one shot. if you do this it will take forever, but you wont die

This boss was easy for me i just hanged on to ladder whole time. The only thing that damaged me was the electric water.

for people who wanna beat this boss easily

step 1: expose the ladder

step 2: hang from the far left

step 3: when he shoots missiles just shoot straight and blow them up

step 4: when he charges he will hit the wall under you

step 5: charge your missile and hit him while he is stunned by holding LB and down

step 6: rinse and repeat

if done correctly you should beat him with no damage taken

there's an easier way to fight this thing; if u stay as far left as possible on the ladder, u can shoot thru the missiles with the beam and wait for the robot to ram into the wall and stun itself, then hold L and fire away the missiles.

@SHSRogue I once experimented with Bombs while fighting him the first time, and it worked, so maybe its possible to use Power Bombs this time.

little tip go on the ladders (idk) at the top left stay there and shoot your laser (charged) he cant hurt u and penetrates his armor with plasma blast :)

dude this video is a waste...theres an easier way to kill the boss. when you come into the room just stand where u are and crouch down. shoot the missiles that come at you w/ ur beam and shoot a missile at the robot right as he jumps so it lands on the moving missile

Here's a tip. When fighting the Security Robot (on steroids) stay on the ladder, ALL the way to the left. You'll avoid his leaps, have the perfect angle to snipe him w/ missles, and able to shoot down his missles

When I first fought him I was like "WTF water hurts" than I saw him and this the power bomb, thinking it would hurt him. It didn't but I got a nifty little surprise from doing that.

Y'know. If you hang on the ladder as soon as you come in he can only reach you with his rubbish missiles... Which aren't hard to take out. Then just L+Down Charge Beam when he comes near until he dies. It takes a while, but works perfectly. After I figured that out, this boss is simple. Otherwise he whups ass.

charge beam is a lot stronger and has a very wide hit range sincer it spreads. its strong enough so the wasted time charging won't matter

when I fought him the first time, I had absolutely no clue there was a power bomb-able ladder right above me. So I spent the entire fight in mid-air trying to fire down on that bastard.

And to top it off, i didn't know the water wasn't electric when the core-x came out, so I was still jumping like an idiot.

heh, needless to say, this was the hardest boss for me...

same here but i only had a couple of energy tanks i died the first couple then i got tired and went back out to get more energy tanks and beat him. by the way that "no entry without otherization" is creepy the first time u hear it

really? wow.. this was my first game. i got it when i was a tiny lad my dad even liked the game! he doesnt even like games ( cept for the old classic mario games) he helped me in that place after you get diffusion missles in sector 4 after you fight night mare so friken hard if you dont know that passage to get out. and once i gopt the the robot i just powered bomb away and i pwned so bad. the guy in this vid seem kinda bad hes too risky
