To continue, I believe Tsem's interpretation of Christ is more in line with Gnostic Christianity, which teaches that the samsaric qualities of the universe stem from the creator god being crazy or malevolent, but he's not the supreme authority. The higher divinity manifested in Christ in order to awaken humanity from their ignorance, and was a direct rebellion to the existing god and religion at that time. Through the editing of scripture, Christ's murder was spun as an extension of God's will
#buddhafollower If we go to a person that is attained. Someone who has the correct view of the world. He/she would be able to help guide us and teach us the proper methods to be happier , kinder and more compassionate. It'll be much easier then, to find ourselves. Not everyone can do that. If we go to other people that makes us worst, I wouldn't want to find myself.
That's right shoujian. Hence holding our vows will be the determining factor whether our practice progresses or not. Hence, high incarnations like Tsem Rinpoche is consistent from birth. Something that is not like any of us and hence we should aspire towards such consistency.
Those who believe in god, do your actions reflect your beliefs or does it make you more of a pagan. If you believe in Buddha, does your actions reflect your believe in karma or does it make you someone who destroys other's view of Buddhism?
Its funny because monotheistic religion claims an almighty creator of our world is a powerful external omnipotent omniscient god while Buddhism smashes this concept to claim that the real creator is within ourselves and we too can be omnipotent and omniscient through mastering certain meditations.
There is two types of doubts. One is bad because it robs us of our merits because it is tending towards escape and falling into our ego. The other type of doubt is positive, which leads us to ask questions so we get the right answers that will build a strong foundation for our to grow.
michael: Yeah. We need to seriously prepare for next life and not get caught up with work, relationships and leisure. I think the best way to practise is to make our jobs, relationships and leisure work around our spiritual practise.
Its chilling to hear Rinpoche speak the Dharma because one can instantly relate and feel embarrass. However I realize Rinpoche is not talking about me but the Dharma, so I shan't be embarrass and apply the methods to make a change....Sorry was just typing my thoughts out. Kinda like talking to myself hehe
Tsem Rinpoche really is a MODERN Rinpoche whom many can instantly connects with..! How fortunate we are to have such a being amongst us. I love reading dharma books ...but these video teachings strip away all the technical jargons and the gist of what will make all the difference in our lives are presented so clearly. with folded hands...
Spirituality is everywhere! Do practice and spread the good news to benefit all. Do not regret the past, do not plan the future, live for today. Thanks for the teaching Rinpoche.
Hahaha that's funny! :D no, the point of the videos is to show dharma can be taught anywhere. If you check out tsemtulkuDOTcom and Rinpoche's videos, you'll see that's his style. He'll teach anywhere, and use anything to teach his students, because dharma is everywhere. Such are the skilful ways of a lama.
The essence of spiritual practice is to hold any vows that has been made as much as possible. It is only through holding vows that the quality of our lives will improve as we will have more control over our mind and and emotions. something related: watch?v=WHXUpvKKIp0
i feel that i am a failure and also like i feel i was supposed to help someone, but i can't. so i don't know part of me says keep trying but i feel in my heart it is like u say i can't help them and i just need to help myself but then i don't know, it's really frightening. i just feel so close to them i constantly am looking over my shoulder wondering if i should turn around and go back or just keep moving away from them and nurturing my own goodness first. because being around them i'm angry
I'm sure that if we show them more comments they will post more videos. I'd really love to watch more videos like this: they really inspire me to transform my mind!
H.E.Tsem Rinpoche took rebirth in Taipei, Taiwan where he was recognized as a Tulku at 7 months old, but his mom refused to let him go. Then taken to N.J.,USA. From Jersey, he left to California where he met his root guru H.H.Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, where Kyabje Zong Rinpoche re-recognized him again. In 1987 he left for Gaden in South,India where He was officially enthroned. In 1992,chosen by Lati Rinpoche to go to Malaysia where he went on and off to teach. He resides in Malaysia full time now.
This is a very nice explaination on the importance and the benefits from holding vows...it might be something really hard to do at first but the rewards are worth the effort. Sadly, many people are afraid to hold vows for many reasons...
yea I agree. It's pretty sad that people still doubt their teachers just because of something trival and small just because someone said their practices are "wrong". Usually people like these end up being worse than before they started.

It is not easy to "NOT" to change when one falls from rich to poor or go from poor to rich.
Rinpoche hold his vows really sincerely and i really feel it from the heart, and Rinpoche is so consistent!
I hope that i can learn more from him

This is really a good teaching and a tad controversial but it is a very logical summarization of monotheistic belief-system.

having a guru and respecting a guru is not about the guru but yourself, because you cannot do something that you have never experienced before.
