This plane with the radio they provide really can t be matched, its a great deal, and you dont even need a starter to get it going, a chicken stick is good enough.
I flew line controld models in my youth, and they where ALLWAYS hard to start, or get throttled..., this Alpha tuly amazes me..., it starts so easily, and flys so true, just a couple hours on a simulator should have you doing snap rolls in no time.
Mine sits proudly on my kitchen table as I write this!
Use the trim button to bring throttle as low as you can, then stick your foot out on the right side of the plane as it faces you, and stop the blades...
I solod my alpha today :), im not kidding!.
1st time I rolled it I used only the elevators, today I tried adding rudder, and it rolls very briskly.
Allways wanted an RC plane, im 32 and this year I got my wish.
Im looking for a .40 powerdf mid or low wing plane now..., I love this hobby!
Great Job! I'm A newbie myself. I'm Setting one of these up for my son. Perfect plane to start/grow with. I fly the Toledo Special. BTW there is NOTHING boring about yuor first solo flight it's just a Blast! You can get good enough with the ALPHA to literally fly the wing off of one. Congrats & well Done!
you just watched a trainer w/novice pilot he did good, almost any trainer is good. depending on your skill w/electric you can get whatever you know you can fly. or you can have someone with you who can fly and run a trainer wire to the other remote incase of a problem. good luck
@Nucleartreasure The Alpha Trainer with the Evolution engine is about as good and stable as you can get. I've owned several trainers, and the Alpha/Evolution combo is my favorite.

How do you stop the engine

1) run out of fuel, 2) some radios have a "kill switch", 3) drop a rag onto the prop 4) crash!
