  • @NYYankee42 And what crime did he commit?

  • i woulda told that stupid cop to walk thru the crowd of OWS an see what happens to him hahaha

  • Entrapment implies that the police coerced him into committing a crime. Not the case here.

  • @CarlAsvin Ipso facto, the corps in this country are supporting this labor in China which borders on slavery, they've taken away jobs that supported millions of people, they've built up the Chinese economy at the expense of the US and pocketed most of the profits. They never question once if any of this is right or moral. And they leave people like me jobless by not hiring and the kid in Harlem homeless by not paying taxes.

  • @CarlAsvin Corporations respond to the demand of consumers, but more fundamentally they respond more to their bottom lines. A Chinese worker in a factory is not beholden to labor laws so bitterly fought for in the 1890s and are actually forbidden from forming unions without "permission." They get paid a tiny amount for the work they do and in effect they are cheap labor for the corps that employ them without the hassle of unions or even a fixed schedule for their work. CONT

  • @CarlAsvin because bigshots at Ford and the Motown 3 wanted to make their cars for cheaper and went South of the border (much like a lot of people are doing with China right now.) The only sin of the men who assembled the cars is to want to be able to put their kids through school, have a decent nest egg to retire on, and die. Instead, the bottom dropped out and those that could move did, the ones that couldn't (mostly black I might add) had to live with the results: a war zone.

  • @CarlAsvin My mother makes about half what you do. She is more than willing to pay higher taxes if it means helping that kid in Harlem because he needs it much more than her. Life deals different cards, but it is hard to play when the deck has been spectacularly stacked against you. His mama makes a poverty wage. She wants to work for a better life-why not reward her for a change? Why not let her son get a decent education, so you can have more money??

  • That kid needs tax money so his school can be repaired and get better paid teachers, he needs it so programs for people like his mama don't need to be cut so quickly (say, ohh, a daycare and maybe a training and placement program so mama can get a better job as a secretary) and he needs somebody to tell the greedy developers to take a hike: their need to build yet another Starbucks should come second to his need to have a place to come home to.

  • Where is all of last nights camera footage?

  • Love you NYPD i feel for you

  • ANYONE knows that cops are the ENEMY of the people. Cops are the protectors of the 1%. How obvious can it be?

  • since cops want to take away your freedoms, its time to use violence against them.

  • @worldmayhem

great, I will be glad to double tap your punk ass. Bring it faggot.

  • @fuckobama4

I doubt you could even bruise me, you online Bruce Lee wannabe.

  • @worldmayhem

If I only had a dollar for every miscreant that said that when I was on the job. I'd be Bill Gates neighbor.

  • Comment removed

  • @worldmayhem

Bruce Lee used guns? Not when I knew him.

  • @fuckobama4

yawn...anyway, you would not get in one punch on me. Stop, you're embarrassing yourself.

  • Are rights have been stolen from us. Keep it up protesters

  • @vinmaster25

Really, then how are you able to post this bullshit online?

  • @fuckobama4 Im not talking about freedom of speech im talking about human needs like the right to free health care. etc and what is bullshit this is awesome

  • @vinmaster25

I agree that help should be given for those who try. Sadly there are way to many in the USA willing to spend their lives, sitting on their ass in section 8 housing squatting out kids to keep a check. I refuse to support them, let them all die.

  • Stupid people ...bunch of jokes...get a life and stop crapping in the streets ...

  • i wonder what teh fuck is the second amendment for.

  • Last time I checked, sidewalks were public property. This man was arrested for "failure to move on" and "obstructing the sidewalk." Yeah, right. Charges were appropriately dropped.

  • It makes for much better video that will get idiots to think he was wrongfully arrested.

Of course, YOU think he was wrongfully arrested, so I guess it worked.

  • There`s plenty out of context.

The one thing that is NOT out of context is the protestor knows before hand that he is not supposed to walk in that direction. He knows he will get arrested if he does so. The cops says, `do what you gotta do`. At no time did the cop order him to go. At no time did the cop suggest he would not be arrested.

In the end, the protestor`s asinine idea of his `rights` is what got him arrested. And, of course, he WANTED to get arrested.

  • The best part was when the guy say Thank you

  • Type "Zeitgeist: addendum" ><

    WATCH! LIFE CHANGING

  • THIS IS WHY WE MUST OCCUPY!

  • damn pigs.

  • i like how there are literally hundreds maybe even thousands of protestors there and yet they just stand there and do nothing when people get illegally arrested

  • @7ranc3Addict They were not illegally arrested. That was blatant disorderly conduct. But if you feel free like doing more than just "standing there" feel free. Would love to see you hauled away in a later Youtube vid.

  • @CarlAsvin

LOL i made taht comment what like 2 weeks ago? wtf you doing just searching through comments for something to troll and argue with. Get a life

  • @7ranc3Addict Ahh, the standard rationale of an OWS protester. Always oblivious to the actual facts. Please take a course in Economics and preferably Logic. Me get a life? I'm not the one wasting my days away protesting. I actually have a job, and at a reputable Wall Street firm, ooh! Moron.

  • @CarlAsvin Ironically, they aren't desperate for jobs. Research has shown that most of these "protesters" are private school kids coming from wealthy families.

  • @IndianPrince04 I read that too and think it's really ridiculous. They've no reason to protest unless perhaps they majored in something useless and are unemployable as a result. In which case, it's on them.

  • @CarlAsvin There are nurses at that park. We don't need nurses, now? There are Columbia grads who majored in law and architecture and journalism down there-we don't need these either?! Or how about writers and artists, who depend on their right to free speech to make a living, do they not deserve the right to speak up when they see those rights being curtailed and even the commercial art business is being exported to Asia?

Seems to me you need them more than they need you.

  • PS-I find it bloody hilarious that your firm so blatantly supports politicians who claim to protect individual rights when the same pols have a wonderful time telling people how to live and telling them how and where they may protest. And then fools like you parrot that rugged individualism is a birthright for every American. One problem: Qui custodiat ipsos custodies?

  • @CarlAsvin Perhaps you should read up on history, then-riddle me this: what happens when a small minority of people horde the wealth and political capital of a nation at the expense of its lower and middle classes? And what does a nation risk when it sells away large portions of its manufacturing base and also neglects its basic utilities, like schools and infrastructure?

That is history and economics one oh one. Enjoy your job-while you can.

  • @shadowkitty56 Perhaps YOU should read up on history. History indicates a small minority always horde the wealth because their productivity and methods of making it are important. We need people like this. People here have unions with a lot of unreasonable demands now, outsourcing jobs is not just a strategic solution but a legal one to offset this. The hell did they teach you in History and Economics?

  • @CarlAsvin I will ask again: qui custodiat ipsos custodies? There is nothing preventing many of these men from buying whatever politician they want. There are no restrictions on monopolies, restrictions from the 1930s that separated investment banks from other sorts of banks have been done away with or ignored, and taxes for the top 2% of this nation have remained tiny in comparison to what the bottom 98% must pay, not counting tax shelters. Further, wages stagnate for anyone who CONT

  • @shadowkitty56 No restrictions on monopolies? I suggest you invest in a law degree. Look up the Sherman Antitrust Act. And no, I don't know where you're getting your facts from but I paid around a 30% tax on roughly a 500,000 salary. Again, just because I'm well off and some impoverished Harlem kid isn't doesn't mean anything. Life deals people different cards. And my firm? I never said where I work and still won't say where I work. Money has always been in politics and will be. So what?

  • @CarlAsvin And I suggest you take a look out the window: in Los Angeles, as we speak, there are only about 5 companies and their subsidiaries that control an enormous amount of the film industry and there is little from stopping them from buying up and buying up until there is so little room for competition that YouTube and its copycats may or may not be the only strongholds left for anything "different." CONT

  • The same is true of Microsoft, and tangoing with Bill Gates the last time around seems to have cowed government into never trying to bust a trust ever again, so , ipso facto, there are no limits on monopolies.

Doesn't mean anything? Yes, it does. CONT

  • is not an investment banker or who did not inherit a handsome sum from Daddy. They have for 30 years. While you sit comfortably in your warm office there is a child in Harlem who doesn't know why his school is falling apart, why his mother is crying in the kitchen since she works 2 jobs and still cannot make it, and he is too little to know that they face eviction so that the landlord can make a quick buck off gentrification. And worst of all, winter is just weeks away.

  • And if you want an example of what happens when a tiny group of people hordes all the wealth and believe it is their god given right to do so, I will only point to the French Revolution. Marie Antoinette's erroneously attributed words are famous, but consider another real quote. Madame DuBarry was the mistress of Louis XV for many years and her rapacious climb to the top is well documented, not to mention her taste for extravagant excesses. (CONT)

  • She begged the executioner for "one moment more." The crowd might have shown her a little mercy to her and let her live if she'd only not been so callous to them for so long years before. I certainly do not want it to come to this, I do not begrudge a man his success and welcome the talented. But if he employs beggar thy neighbor tactics, and remains indifferent to the cries of the poor, I shall have no choice but to retaliate.

  • Oh, and PS- an example of when the means of manufacture were sold off at the detriment of a country's citizenry?-Britain and France c. 1885. You see it as a natural progression, but you don't see that giving up our manufacturing base is a hazard, holding us beholden to foreign influences and demands on an unhealthy and unnecessary level. Frankly, I don't want to have to beg China for our military uniforms and I don't want to go crawling on my belly like a snake so you can make a buck.

  • @shadowkitty56 Do you not understand international trade at all? Products in the U.S cost more for consumers. Period. Corporations respond to what consumers want. There are still made in U.S.A products. I just bought a beautiful coat recently made in the U.S and paid a higher price tag as a result. China invests in bonds here because of our low default rate. What are you talking about? Seriously, get your head out of the clouds and actually study Economics. And I'd prefer you crawl on your back.

  • @CarlAsvin So I should be thankful that you got a coat made in the USA?-Wonderful. Compared to the volume coming out of China, you hit the bloody jackpot (that's why they call it a trade deficit.) There used to be a section of NYC that was called the garment district. It effectively no longer exists, nor any of the jobs it once supported. There are huge districts in the Midwest that have empty factories; the entire city of Detroit is now a shadow of what it once was CONT

  • All white shirts outrank blue shirts. It appears that the blue shirt talking to him initially is a sergeant and let him in. He basically told the guy to pick. Either stay in, or walk, and the guy wanted to walk so the sergeant let him in. It was at that point that the white shirt stepped in and countermanded the sergeant and you can clearly him the white shirt say, "Okay, cuff him." I don't think the sergeant on the front line is purposely trying to entrap the protestor.

  • Ok want a be hippies. Go get a job and stop trying to take from others go get you're own.

  • ronan you would first have to get out of you're parents basement were you play world of warcraft all day to fuck me up and then you would have to bring all you're hippie friends

  • @Allahsucks100

Hippie (noun): a person, especially of the late 1960s, who rejected established institutions and values and sought spontaneity, direct personal relations expressing love, and expanded consciousness, often expressed externally in the wearing of casual, folksy clothing and of beads, headbands, used garments, etc.

How did the definition of "hippie" evolve to incorporate educated (often college), blue-to-white collar (recently) unemployed Americans? ......anyone? A sad, sad state.

  • fascist police, we pay their wages so that they can arrest us

  • Another epic fail by the dirty hippies. I so want to be a cop.

  • @Allahsucks100

i'd love to fuck you up

  • I DONT KNOW WHO'S STREETS THOSE ARE, BUT THEY SURE AS HELL ARE NOT THE PROTESTOR'S STREETS.

  • FASCIST SON OF A BITCH!!

  • A police state exists when the police do whatever they state.

    End corruption re-enact a TONA.

  • Will I be detained if I walk this way? "no" Walked that way, and tackled... Fucking PIGS!

    \

  • The united slaves of America. You are only free if you obey. When you obey, you are detained. See? Its a trap!!!!!

  • hey pig piggy pig pig pig

  • Wow... the cop practically PUSHED him!

  • to those claiming the cop did not specificially say that he will not be arrested if he walks that way, I think you should try to listen a bit better, He asks "will I be detained if I walk this way." and the cop responds "you can walk, we will no detain you." then he gets arrested. That is a clear case of entrapment. In this case it does not matter what happened before. He was assured he could walk that way and was arrested for doing so.

  • FTP!

  • lol that's so retarded

  • when police commit entrapment, fucking arrest them, you overpower them, you outnumber them

  • HOLY SHIT NYPD is fucked! Thats bullshit!!

  • As much as I believe in a true reformation of the world and government, as much as I believe in the rEVOLution, as much as I know the system has to change...still hurts my heart to see encounters like this between my brothers and sisters, whether you are holding a sign or wearing a badge. I think about both sides of the coin. The anger, the convictions, the stories untold. The wrongs and rights of everyone. The contradictions. Protection or control? Change, peace? Or a never ending cycle?

  • Cops are like a ass of a pig. Dirty as always...

  • FUCK NYPD

  • @jjcatful woah, what the hell are you talking about? who are the asswipes here? The cops are.

  • Obungles is using this occupy crap for a distraction while he plans the next war with Iran. The libs voted in the worst fool on earth and he's destroying all they wanted and now they protest the exact wrong thing. O must have brainwashed them all to the max!

  • still LOLing at those of you sheep who are shilling for the corporations. this is what big business wants. When did we start living in the film "They Live"?

  • NAZIAMERICA

  • They say "justice is blind" apparently it's deaf aswell.

  • I wonder when the cops will realize they're apart of the 99% too.

  • @Bdthemag I think the time will indeed come

  • Cops forgot they were human beings too, huh? Taking away peoples rights for the fun of it...

  • Stop thinking you can reason with police. Don't even talk to them.

  • with that kind of behavior on the part of the cops, I am continually amazed that the protests have remained so peaceful.

  • LOL what a bunch of nazi cops there man

  • I like to see the comi get taized.

  • slobodan milosevic and his police or maibe even adolf would be proud of you........

  • Betrayal much? This is completely out of order. You don't give your word and then go against it. Fucking pig. They were blatantly looking for an excuse to arrest him.

  • The police in this country are now nothing more than CRIMINALS and THUGS. Nothing more. Common bullies.

  • the one cop put his arm around him directing him where they want him to go then they arrest him....i should have been a cop then i can do what ever i want

  • (smiles)

  • He was attempting to walk on the sidewalk like everyone else. Last time I knew, public sidewalks were exactly that, public. He wasn't being disruptive, just asking to be allowed to walk across the sidewalk.

  • they should have rescued him instead of chanting. that's how it gotta be. greece is the perfect example of that

  • never trust never obey

  • @haywood16 he asked the officer if he could walk that way. The police officer told him he wouldn't be arrested. Then he was arrested. This has nothing to do with being a "wise ass."

  • @ouman900 you can see the wise ass banging into another cop on purpose down the block.

  • @ouman900

What a weak, totally pathetic statement. You're an anti-corporate tool.

Occupy Wall Street is a JOKE.

It's business as usual, your pathetic riots mean nothing to us.

Keep protesting in filthy, police-ridden gutters, we'll keep raking in unprecedented profits with Obama's blessings, all from the safety of our highrises.

The mass tax-paying suckers pay for our calculated risks so if YOU make a mistake, the IRS sends you to jail, if WE make mistakes, we get paid ca$h bailouts, got that?

  • Cop tells you its okay to walk a certain way...you walk that way....and they arrest you...

    Makes perfect sense....to Fascists.

  • people must not harass police and cops. you must harass their general and commander and rich people.

  • NYPD must be the biggest douches on the planet. I thought LAPD was bad, but these guys bring punkery to a new leve. Hang tight OWS. There's nothing more vicious than a cornered animal... or more pathetic. They're loosing and they know it.

  • I heard a banker from London say in response to these protests to "get these filthy peasants away from my buildings!" The bankers in London own the banks and buildings in New York City??

  • @evanfrikkenjones Yes, the cop said he could walk that way, its suggested he's LEGALLY ALLOWED TO DO SO. It's fucking entrapment, the cop subtly lied to him so he could make the arrest, but hey its ok! Fucking crooked asshole. But you're right, police brutality doesn't exist, it's always the citizens fault. The government also never lies right? Fucking idiot, I saw a friend of mine ABUSED AND BEATEN, a VETERAN at that, for walking out of a bar DRUNK. He had to go to the hospital, WHY? BRUTALITY!

  • I wonder if this will turn violent... One day someone is going to have their neck or back snapped the day a huge cop pins someone down with their knee the way they often do... An air marshal once suffocated a woman to death while pinning her face down into the seats. It's just a matter of time that someone will be severely injured and this might all turn ugly... maybe...maybe not...

  • @rickyseabra shit like this happens on the regular and nothing happens, the courts allow cops to get away with such brutality and blame the citizens. there will be violence, there will be REVOLUTION

  • I actually have sued the NYPD (at my job), and alls I know is, they DO NOT like being told that u r going to sue them. This was really screwed up but this point needs to be a take away- DO NOT threaten to sue the NYPD. They have WAY to much discretion to decide when to arrest someone for u to b "tempting" them. And I don't like it, and u don't like it, but it needs to be taken up with the legislature not on the street. PS- he doesn't have a case.

  • Police have been inciting violence in peaceful protests since there have been protests. It wont be much longer until someone is hurt or killed. If #OWS is not successful, and change does not come from this peacefully, it will come violently. Personally, I would rather die on my feet, than live on my knees in servitude. Debt is slavery, poverty is a weapon.

  • @Arandomsingularity Violence is coming sooner or later, this is getting old, I will stand up in arms against these fucking corporate pigs we pay for who abuse their rights and privileges.

  • @cm20069n where did you even get that info.. can't find it anywhere

  • ill send you the link to the story somehow and i will look for the video you mentioned. like ive said, im a reasonable person and i understand that theres 2 sides to every story. obviously from the story i read, this incident is just disgusting. thats where i formed my opinion.

  • Arrest those "police"

  • I'm about 90% sure that's entrapment

  • @cm20069n check your facts on that story...

  • @restingplatypus "Police said the altercation occurred after the man tried to elbow the officer in the face and other people in the crowd jumped on the officer, who was sprayed with a liquid coming from the man's direction. Police said the man, who escaped and was wanted for attempted assault on an officer, later said in an online interview he's HIV positive and the officer should be tested medically."

  • @restingplatypus i can email you the link to the story if YOU want to check my facts. apparently i cant post the link in a response to you.

  • @cm20069n "Rivera-Pitre,..., tells us he was walking a little bit in front of the police on William Street, and admits he "shot the cop a look." But then, according to Rivera-Pitre (and this is in line with what we witnessed), "The cop just lunged at me full throttle and hit me on the left side of my face. It tore my earring out. I remember seeing my earring on the ground next to me and it was full of blood. I was completely dumbstruck. I'm HIV positive and that cop should get tested."

  • @restingplatypus i posted the link as a comment to you

  • @restingplatypus if he's HIV positive and the cop is infected, the man will probably be taken to jail for the rest of his life and executed. its fucking CORRUPT BULLSHIT AND THESE PIGS GET AWAY WITH IT.

  • Comment removed

  • you guy should have some flash lights out there

  • i was in jail with this dude!

  • Yes, they are instigating to cause reaction...

  • This is why they are called PIGS. They are class traitors. The serve the rich and beat up the poor.

  • @evanfrikkenjones I've watched many police brutality videos, and the video where 700 protesters got arrested. Some of these NYPD cops are just straight up crooked. Then there was the other one where this woman wasn't doing nothing, and this cop punches her in the face. Then there's the other one where the one cop on the motorcycle parks on this guys leg, and he understandably kicks the bike off him (who wouldn't?). It IS possible that this guy did next to nothing wrong.

  • he was trying to start shit. the officer was just doing as told. its not his fault

  • @khl494 The cop said that he won't be detained if he walks over there, and the protester responds as "thank you", and he's walking over there and the cops ambush him. It looked pretty shot out to me, and to most of the people here. The guy wasn't trying to start anything, and then the police lied to him and took him in, and for what? He was simply following the police's orders.

  • @esca8652 the cop does not say he wont be detained. he tells him to walk that way because the guy had just said he wanted to walk down that road....which was the mans response to the cops original question. its not the cops fault that this dumbass, was too busy yelling at the other cops and got sidelined from their original question.

  • @cm20069n This dumbass is standing up for your freedom. Show some respect!!

  • @esca8652 this dumbass, is NOT standing up for my freedom. he's upset he cant get a job and his bank account isn't as large as others...or one of the other 297,000 reasons these people are protesting. but not for anything that deserves respect from me. i respect the cops more than anyone of those people by FAR

  • @cm20069n How do you know? And just to let you know, some of these people actually are standing up for all of America. I have kept up with this movement since before it started. You can still show some respect!..... so you like corporate greed and the War in Iraq? This is what some of these people are standing up against Not supporting these protesters is like saying, "oh I like the way things are. I like a 9% unemployment rate". This is a GOOD movement. It is not the devil.

  • @esca8652 how do i know?? because thats MY opinion, so dont put words in my mouth about liking things the way they are scumbag. im an unemployed graduate...in no way do i like that. but i dont blame other people for my position because i know the world is a competitive place. I lost all respect for the protest yesterday morning when i read a story saying that a cop got sprayed by an unknown substance and in an online interview later, the man said that he was HIV+ and the cop should be tested.

  • Comment removed

  • @cm20069n Also, I'm not against the cops (as a whole), just some of them. The one where a cop literally punches this women for no legitimate reason, was messed up. Some of these cops are unfortunately, truly crooked and seem to have no sense of morals.

  • @esca8652 and im not saying that shit like that is ok, obviously it's not, im a reasonable human. My comments have to do with this specific video. i have no opinion of a video i havent seen.

  • @cm20069n im glad you support corrupt policies, brutality and judges who allow VICTIMS to go to jail for seemingly no reason. "oh they don't make as much money as me, that's why they're protesting" you know nothing, i hope you get fucking destroyed in the revolution that's coming u communist faggot

  • @Petey0707 haha. you sound ridiculous. 1st off, im an unemployed graduate...so most of the protesters probably make more than i do. so ya beat there. 2nd, i went to school for a criminal justice degree knowing that the system is fucked up and needs change and i intend to do my part to fix it...so ya also beat when you say i support corrupt policies, brutality and unethical judges. finally, i dont believe in communism at all AND i have sex with women so ya beat in thinking im a communist faggot.

  • @cm20069n ah, I see, you go to school for criminal justice so of course you OPENLY support corrupt policies. funny how you can't even tell what a direct insult is, considering you took such things literally. how do you plan on doing your part, being part of a broken government? awesome, have fun being jobless, the way things are going unless you're wealthy, then there won't be any available soon.

  • @khl494 Doing as you are told, when it is wrong to do so, is wrong.

  • @steafandubhuidhe correct but he isn't being told anything. hes being told what not to do. thus your point is irrelevant

  • Ha! Dummy.

  • Fucked up on several levels.

  • Entrapment by Estoppel

  • New york state liberals fund these asshole lazy redneck nypd shit the pants cops, now you little sprats complain,

  • we need more soverign citizens to fight and Kl the shithead NYPD latent homs

  • The NYPD rocks!!! They need to start cracking skulls, and I-phones.

  • @enivednadnerb I hope you die.
