  • No parent should expose their young child to lethal altitude sickness, disfiguring frostbite, hurricane force winds, avalanches, zero visability and extreme exhaustion. Even the most experienced climbers make fatal mistakes or sit down to die in these conditions.

Let's not forget that if he would run into trouble in the DeathZone he's on his own because stopping to help is suicide. Everest is littered with bodies of climbers who died begging for help only to become macabre landmarks.

  • he reminds me of a mushroom

  • wOW fAkE

  • Fake??

  • Lucky kid, I wish I could climb mountains when I was 13, my parents would freak about it.

  • he has a good life:)p.s. I'm climbing mountains this summer :))))

  • now go for K2

  • @losteden He's done it!

  • @collins113061... that was a waste of a comment... u must be very bored

  • "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!"

-A 13-year old boy called Jordan Romero climbed up Mt. Everest, the second biggest mountain in the world. Everest isn't his first summit since he went up the Kilimanjaro Stratovolcano of Africa when he was 10. Now he's heading to Antarctica to go up Vinson Massif.

  • BUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLL SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.....

  • all right for rich kids isnt it? doubt he'll do it

  • @Guerillaradio13 umm he already summited and climbing mt. vinson as i type this to complete the 7 summits. so, you know diddly shit! the kid is a true mountaineer! and, he's also not a so called "rich kid" he has sponsors and holds events to raise money so he can climb these peaks.

  • BULLSHIT!!!

  • This proves anything is possible if your parents have a lot of money...

  • @brycetheviceato loll true dat

  • in england you have to be 18 to drink. i dont really like drinking

  • His hair looks like WW2 german helmet...

  • Chuck norris crawled up everest when he was only 2

  • he had 2 be training since he was like 3

  • i'm actually about to climb everest this september. i will be videotaping. im 14. with my dad my brother and my cousins we've been taking mountaineering classes for 2 years we've summited Mt. McKinley and now we're going for the ultimate "goddess" of the world. subscribe to my channel for the upload of the video. we'll summit hopefully by the 10th of september. wish us luck.

  • @Purpleeater6 woohoo! goodluck :D

  • nahh hes a real man.....i would like to see anyone who is 13 or younger climb this shit

  • ohh look at me my parents paid 50,000 dollars for me to follow two guides, up the easiest route up a mountain with state of the art equipment. why don't the guides get the recognition?? they've surely climbed everest more times than anybody else and probably get shit pay for it too. climbing everest isn't an achievement any more as it's just become an event for people with more money than sense

  • @neil182sr ey the sherpas enjoy climbing the mountain, and fyi he had to climb up the harder route because the easiest one had an age limit of 16 and it would be 65,000 dollars... ic case you didnt know....

  • @neil182sr wow, you really seem to know what you are talking about. are you an expert climber? i wanna climb everest one day, will you be my guide, since you have so much experience that you can criticizes all others who climb 29,029 feet. You must have climbed everest 30 times by now right?

  • several people have died climbing that mountain with nothing but food, jackets, and tents in the older times. with the technology we have today anyone could climb it, especially when that person has rich parents :P

  • @TheTrueMetal9 you have no idea, money wont get you to the top. you have to have the ability to do it yourself. nobody will or even can carry you up there.

  • @yumi327 yea but climbing the mountain has so many odds against somone like the freezing temp, the the pressure, and the limited resources. whats a challenge when somone has advanced equipment that can take out those factors. the challenge is ot only the mt climbing, but surviving the elements

  • @TheTrueMetal9 thats just it, its man's triumph over the elements. sure it would be much more exciting to do it without oxygen, a down jacket, and goggles but it would also be impossible (except for the oxygen, people have done it without that)

  • @yumi327 well i guess im just bias, i dont think anything is a real achievment unless it is done with minimal help.

  • @TheTrueMetal9 ey more than several, bout 150

  • @TheTrueMetal9 So you could go climb it then. I'll make a bet with you. I will pay for your flight, stay and climb up everest, and all other expenses, and if you summit and make it back within the next 3 months, I'll give you an extra $20,000. If not, you have to give me 20,000 and pay me back for everything. Since its so easy with all the tech this should be a cake walk for someone as skilled as yourself

  • You are a die hard, but its not verry wise.

  • it sounds like someone is breathing really close to the camera at like 25 seconds to 36 seconds.

  • now a pregnant woman needs to climb now have have the baby.

  • Congratulations to this kid. I envy this. We only live once. DO IT RIGHT. MAKE IT HAPPEN !

  • congrats

  • this guy has alot o guts!

  • Before we know it some lady will give birth at the summit. Till than I am not impressed.

  • you have to be 17 to go to an R movie...

you have to be 18 to smoke...

    21 to drink...

if you get caught with weed it could ruin your life...

if you spank your kid, or drink with your 17 year old daughter, cps might take them away ...

but at 13 you can risk your live climbing the most dangerous mountain and not have to worry about child endangerment charges or cps coming to take your kid away!

  • @RevolutionNewz lol agreed

  • @RevolutionNewz lol you cant compare extreme sports with drugz which are only their to harm if i would be in charge i would ban all the weed and alcohol and smoke(cigs), and make a lot of money on charging people with tickets.

  • @MultiPropagandaPanda

sure, can't compare the two... I wouldn't call climbing everest an extreme sport... I'd call it a gamble... as 1 in 10 don't make it (DIE) going up, and one in 20 going down.

now compare that with your evil drugs

  • @RevolutionNewz lol, when you think like that, then how about driving cars ? you can do it with 16 in america, dieng in car accident is probably more risky then climbing on everast or drinking and smoking and taking drugz, just look up statistics and you will see that your totaly wrong. smoking drinking is one of the top killers, and even if you die on everest so what ? their is more glory dieng their then to be a drunk or a smoker.(junkie)

  • @MultiPropagandaPanda

    are you delusional?

do you die every 10th smoke?

do you die every 10th time driving a car?

do you die every 10th time drinking?

Today, Everest has hosted close to 2,000 successful summits. 179 people have perished giving a fatality rate of 9.3%.

how many people have died from smoking cannabis?

    0

  • @RevolutionNewz okay, your a weedhead, LEGALZIE IT PEACE BROTHA 420!! happy now ? why getting personal you you you ? just check out the statistics and do some probability calculation, still drugz such as alcohol and cigartes(including cannabis) do hurt the people, and driving cars on cannabis will make the reaction very slow which is high risk on killing innocent people in traffic.dont be ignorant.

  • @MultiPropagandaPanda

sure, great, whatever... but the point is that it's MUCH more dangerous to hike mt everest!

and regarding weed... it's illegal not because it gets you high or is dangerous... it's illegal because it's the best fuel paper fiber food and medicine.

    edoocate yerself!

  • @RevolutionNewz i have smoked weed myself, its a drug, it make your body harm no excusses mate, still this boy survived it, you didnt do such thing, its a cool sport nothing to compare with what you mentioned.

  • @RevolutionNewz How could getting caught with weed ruin your life?

  • @RevolutionNewz Well to be honest. If i want my 13 year old kid to drink, smoke and drive. Its really up to me. And not the goverment. So ye.

  • @RevolutionNewz K2 is more dangerous, I'd call him a real man if he climbed K2 at 13 [;

  • @RevolutionNewz There are many people that went up Everest before this kid with a much worse chance of sumitting (see 1996 disaster... two of the best guides in the world virtually committed suicide to get their clients to the top). Also, Everest is not the most dangerouos mountain in the world (see K2, Annapurna I). Do some homework.

  • @RevolutionNewz im pretty sure that on mount everest theirs like easy not very dangerous ways to get to the top, and then theirs routes that are really dangerous and you can die. I might be wrong though, this is just what ive heard.

  • @RevolutionNewz mount everest is not in your fucking country. and your silly LAWS does not apply there <.<

  • @RevolutionNewz

Everest isn't the most dangerous. Part with enough cash and Sherpas will practically hold your hand all the way. That's how most do it.

  • @RevolutionNewz It is not the most dangerous mountain get your facts right. The most dangerous mountain is K2 (Goodwin, Austin).

  • @RevolutionNewz or you can be 17 join the military and take another humans life and not face charges

  • @RevolutionNewz What i dont understand is that,

you can be 18 and smoke, join the military and die for your country or take a life with no consequences. but you cant drink a beer.

  • @RevolutionNewz its not the most dangerous mountain

  • @Jackoman110 Isn't K2 the most dangerous?

  • @olwerXL yup

  • i wish i could get my fatass on top of mount everest

  • if this kid died would they charge his parents with child endangerment?

if the parents let their kid drink or smoke cannabis, what would cps do?

  • WHITE POWER!;)

  • spartan..

  • I know a guy who climbed Everest. Bravo for this guy.

  • right on

  • And if he dies on one of these excursions would his parents be held liable for his death or at least child abuse ?

  • A young Australian girl sails around the globe solo in her little boat. A young American boy climbes to the top of the highest peak in the world...

I'm in my early 40s and I haven't done a thing I can be proud of in my life yet! : (

  • Who's the oldest person to clime Mt Everest, & what was his age?

  • @nonaCbarC Don't know his name, but I think it was a 72 year old school teacher from Japan.

  • @inkpeninmd

    So, 13 & 72. Ok, thanx.

  • Nice when you have the money because these 'little' excursions are not cheap.

  • He's built tough.

  • thats fucking epic
