  • The cupping only occurs on wood decking. Its not an issue with composite or PVC decking. The TC-G is intended largely for composites, PVC and more stable wood decking. The TC-Gs holding power is 5x greater than what ICC recommends for fastening decking, screws are 8x greater. Of course for all wood decking varieties you can use the Tiger Claw TC-2.
