The Egyptians depicted themselves as very different from black africans. Greeks thought of themselves as equal to Egyptians, but different from Nubians and Aethiopians. Roman art as well shows a clear distinction between Egyptians and black africans. Genetically, ancient Egyptians were semites (caucasian), not negroids.

Frosted flake- cattle were first domesticated in the Iran/Turkey area about 11,500 years ago- not in Africa by the Bantu (checking my mails) the Nabta (egypt, 9,500 bp) cattle are all wild (although quite possibly penned fopr later slaughter) and not domesticated, as ha been shown several times by studies of the bones. Cattle domestication happened in Africa AFTER cattle arrived from the near east, not before. The Bantu don't get cattle until quiite late in the day.

I can tell you the maternal DNA of North Africa has been the same for about the last 12k, theres been no mass immigration of Europeans into North Africa- and the mt DNA mainly isn't of a European origin either- North African mt DNA is from the near East mostly and dates back at least 12k there.

DNA shows that the migrations and invasions to egypt from the near east and Europe can't possibly account for more than 5% of the current ancestry in Egypt. About 10% of the historic immigration was from black females in the last 2000 years, probably from the slave trade.
Some ancient lower Egyptians would definitley be called white by modern standards. You get naturally read and fair hair in the tombs.
BTW, black slaves into in the Arab slave eera 14 million. European 1.5 million.

Many of the Fayum portraits had a greek paternal ancestry but studies on them have shown them to be mainly of Egyptian ancestry. They generally married local women- it was encouraged, and were there for generations. Claiming they were mainly of greek ancestry is untrue

1. Many of the Fayum portraits *were a mixture of elite Greek settlers-some of the settlers married Egyptians/adopted the Egyptian culture. But you know, either way, they sure dont look anything, facially as well as skin-tone, like those depictions on the tomb walls.

Off the top of my head...
the section claiming black Egyptians discovered wheat farming 16k ago. retractde by the author as the c14 were wrong but he still included it in later publications as fact.

I have been fair and made sure to read a lot of your stuff, (even reading back over some of it) and when I take both yours and many other readings into account, weigh them up & look for the logic; my senses keep telling-

Yes, but the hair on Tiye was light brown not black- brown isn't uncommon in lower Egyptians.

Angie.. I'm familiar with all the DNA studies of north Africans so far. Egypt shows a max historic input of 5% from Eurasia, so their being of recent Arab or Eurasian descent is biologically impossible. The DNA studies of NA mtdna all how a much higher level of black ancestry now than in prehisory or dynastic eras. The only population flow into NA has been from black africans, not Arabs or European slaves.
