Various Methods to Cleanse Crystals

Thank you for your videos, they have been very helpful to me in beginning my crystal path! I was wondering, how do you find out the right way to cleanse specific crystals so you can be sure to not damage them with water?

I have a bracelet that has the following stones: Carnelian, Rhodonite, Rhodochrosite, Garnet, Rose Quartz they all are on the Moh's Hardness scale above 5 except the Rhodochrosite which is 3.5-4 so I am cleansing it with brown rice in my natural bowl for 24 hours. Is this okay for an initial cleansing?

@1NaturalBeauty4Sure yep, perfect. Just be sure to recycle the rice back to Mother Earth when done. Don't eat it. ;)

I live near a river. I use that on my crystals to carry off the negatives. I put them in a net bag & whoosh them around in the river. They seem to like it. I also store them with citrine (The wonder rock lol).

The main stones that I work with are quartz crystal, amethyst, black tourmaline, and garnet. I will be getting other gemstones in the future and I would really like to know of a safe way to cleanse and charge them all - a method that will do both. Maybe copper tuning forks? Hm. This might not be doable...

I think you said something about a tuning fork. Does this also enhance the energy field of the gemstones as well? My gemstones sometimes feel empty.

@DayMare2000 acoustical energy is excellent for re-tunign crystals and very safe. :)

@phanie12 Yeah, I do use nature music. I put it on the speakers. It works...but I don't think it's powerful enough...unless maybe I get a CD player with exceptionally large, loud, and clear speakers. Might try that.

Have you ever used tuning forks on gemstones? If so, while they were cleansed, did you also notice that their energy seemed to be strengthened at the same time? I have a feeling tuning forks do both, but I don't know since I never tried it, so I'm asking around.

@DayMare2000 yes, I have. I feel they do a great job at resetting the crystal's dominant oscillary rate back into balance. That's what my goal is, not to strengthen the crystal...if that makes sense.

@phanie12 It makes sense. That might be a good way for me to go, but I'm still going to need a good oomph for all of them. For this, I shall use copper...I'm just hoping it works.

I purchased some crystals from you on etsy, but I cannot put them in sea salt. How do you use sage on crystals? I'm not sure how long to keep it in the smoke for or if I should be holding the crystals while I do it. Thanks!

@kschaf21 Just pass the smoke over them for a minute or so, not very long. You can also use one of the other methods listed here: rice, flower petals, Full Moon energy, etc. Blessings!

@queeniecomfort TY! Any of these methods is wonderful for citrine. For the energy you are referring to you may need to work with black tourmaline along with smoky quartz or amethyst or perhaps sugilite...it depends. Watch my vids on black tourmaline.

Another way you can cleanse crystal is do nothing. Crystals will get rid of its negative energy by themeselves.

@Wingblade900 That is all up to the user's discretion. If they feel the need to cleanse the crystals, then they should cleanse them. I'm not sure I agree that all my crystals that I use for frequent healings will cleanse themselves w/o a lot of time and being left in nature. But that's me. :)

this was really helpful to me because i get so worried about damaging my stones! its nice to see all your various meathods! lol, believe it or not, i used to fill bowls with stones and flower petals for in my bedroom as a teen...it got on my friends' nerves for whatever reason, lol! didn't even think about it as a cleansing! you've inspired me to do a little crystal cleansing and work on a meathod i've been thinking about (that hopefully i can make a vid on sometime, lol, lazy o'l me!!)

@heidelbergerin I personally would not use white rice for the same reason that I won't eat it. The processing, milling and polishing that creates white rice removes most of the nutrients, vitamins and, therefore, the energy from it so I would not trust it to cleanse my crystals since virtually unrecognizable.

Yep, frustrating when the crystals dissappear but it just means that its work with you was complete and its off helping someone else right now with harmony, peace and stress relief. :)

I did do the 7 day cleanse you recommended and it turned out great, but I didn't check all my crystals and I had my angelcite turn white and chalky. I'll know better for next time.
