  • my first email was aol

  • I like Thunderbird better because can customize it, and outlook is stupid and complicated

  • Thunderbird is actually really nice!! Im adding accounts to outlook right now, lets see how it is.

  • THUNDERBIRD 5 IS THE BEST ALL THE WORLD! (its beta)

  • Thunderbird is and Mail are awesome. Who would wanna pay for Outlook or Entourage? There's a free client out there... HOWEVER if you buy Office Professional, I'd definetely switch to Outlook to make that price worth it.

  • Thunderbird is KING!!

The only good feature that outlook has is that it can sync with iphone!

  • Geeks brought us nearly every technology (and the science it's based on) that we enjoy today. Including the internet and youtube. :)

  • can imac work on windows 7

  • @ALIKALVERT

Don't you mean: "can win7 work on imac?"

Win7 is a software, imac is hardware...

  • I always used outlook express since I dunno, 1998 too perhaps?, and later microsoft outlook. I started to think about switching to thunderbird bcoz outlook 2007 have lots of problems like disconnected network etc. Why do you switch to thunderbird then?

  • i dont use it because it wont work with the system wide address book that apple provides so i choose to use apple mail

  • Most boring video ever.

  • You are a huge dork!!

  • Well i love thunderbird :)

  • I'M A GEEK AND PROUD!!!

  • Well now im trying out Thunderbird, it is a bit more complicated than windows live mail but i kind of like it that way

  • Awesome

  • i use thunderbird, but now,, it crashes a lot. so i wanna switch to another one.. so can u please tell me what would be nice for that? thanx

  • m trying out zimbra desktop which is way way beta than thunder bird i think if not for anything else, its got a sweet calender n nice features.

my only problem is that recently they seem to be having problems syncing wit yahoo mail, which is sad cos its wat i use d most.

  • i use thunderbird. windows mail sucks

  • First client was Outlook Express and Outlook 97.

    Really like Evolution.

Currently using Chandler and Thunderbird, since Evo is twitchy in Windows and Lighning is incompatible with latest TBird. Found Chandler and really like the PIM capabilities. Will be using TBird until Chandler's emailing capabilities have become "Fully Operational".

  • I've never used a software e-mail client, I've always checked them on the net

  • I tried windows live mail, but it was just too slow for me for some reason. Every action took a second to load and it was annoying especially when thunderbird doesn't have that problem. Also, I have a theme called silvermel that is for firefox and thunderbird, so it is nice having both apps with the same really professional looking theme. Also, the last thing I added in was the lightning extension for thunderbird which adds a calendar. After a bit of customization thunderbird is quite awesome.

  • I think that Windows Live mail is the best. It looks very nice.

  • I need some help if i set up thunderbird can i fix it so i can get all my mail through it like hotmail and comcast mail and even yahoo ?

  • using gmail for personal, outlook (non-exchange, though...) for work. Interest in Thunderbird stems from customization, specifically to find or dev. GTD tools - the DavidAllen GTD plugin for outlook is spendy @ ~ $70 and just "not perfect" enough to justify. Are there good GTD plugins for Thunderbird?

  • Is Incredimail Any Good

  • what ive heard incredimail is incredible XD

i dont know. i use hotmail.

  • they do it has lighting

  • Does anyone know if you can fax through thunderbird??

  • did he say "glee u later" lol?

  • No?

  • he said : "well, e ya later"

  • ^^Geek!^^

  • Very nice video. On my website I have a email system were you can check your emails. It Does not matter what email account you have. You can also have it link to your mobile phone. it nice to use. Just go to my profile to see.

  • Gmail. I'm migrating my Hotmail account to that eventually. I found no need for any of these downloadable email applications and it does everything I want from chatting to calendar and even word, excel and powerpoint online. What more do you really need for email?

  • Same here. If you absolutely have to open an application to view your e-mails, calendars, contacts, etc, why not the good old web browser... (and you can access it from anywhere)

The only reason I'm keeping Hotmail is because I have many friends using MSN Messenger. I wish they could integrate messenger with google chat, then we'd be all set. But something tells me we won't see that in our living...

  • what's wrong with geeks?

  • The first client I used was Outlook Express, then tried Outlook, didn't like Outlook, went back to Outlook Express, now Incredimail, but Incredimail has it's drawbacks and is kind of a rip-off when it comes to having to pay if you want skins and other extra stuff.

  • THIS guys a fucking dickhead all he did was show off his workspace and talk opionated crap .

i wanted to know about thunderbird not your life story .how about changing your title so people dont think you actually reviewed both platforms fucking Geek

  • i just started using Thunderbird like a day or 2 ago and i love it! its much cleaner and more secure then outlook in my opinion

  • I use ThunderBird with Lightning and SamePlace and think it is great! I have not tried Outlook due to security, but it looks a bit better than ThunderBird as an e-mail client however.

  • Thunderbird won't install

  • Outlook is far more than just 'e-mail client'. I use it's features extensively and like it very much. The most useful feature for me is synchronization with mobile devices.

Thunderbird is just good e-mail clent but almost nothing more.

  • I usally use windows mail, but now use live. Outlook is way to much for me. All i need is to download emails.

  • Tried Outlook, didn't like it, Thunderbird is much better for me.

  • sunbird is integrated! i'm even using thunderbird for managing my google calendar ! :)

    eat this outlook

  • use thunderbird, much safer.

  • all my electrical eng. friends (ibm,moto,es...

say to use mozilla as it is much more secure.

it took care of issues that mcafee missed>

that made me a believer !

  • good descustion. but i had only one or two email system i use and they are microsoft outlook exsprees andi really couldnt tell you the other one because it is so old and slow i had more problems with rather then being able to do anything with it. so the program i use i will proboly keep for many more years.

  • Thunderbird... was... well ok, you can download messages form hotmail yahoo aol and some more webmail, with an addon but still the view is wierd, I know you can make it look the same as outlook, but everything was squished into one line unlike 2 in outlook

  • everyone, just use online mail

  • dont b so stupid people need email clients so tey dont have the bother of keeping an internet window open and getin shitty services where you have to refresh every 2 mins to get ur mail.

  • What would you say the best free IMAP service is for Mac. I am considering .Mac but am unsure?.

  • You now can use Sunbird combined with Thunderbird. Theres an add on called Lightning from Mozilla

  • Ive only used Thunderbird, but i tried outlook 2003 and i hated it

  • gmail ftw. screw offline email clients

  • i love gmail and yahoo. gmail a little more. totally agree with u

  • Neither, both are a security risk. Best to use an online service.

  • NON! I DONT NO HOW TO GET THEM WORKING!

  • OMG!!! your using leopards new wallpapers!!

  • I started using Outlook Express and then switched over to The Bat! (very powerful), but since a few months ago I've been using a service from Gmail of which I was not aware of, and that is to receive e-mail from any pop3 account (up to 5) directly in Gmail.

  • I prefer Mail (the Mac OS X e-mail applications).

  • I recently switched from Outlook to T-Bird hoping that it would be easier to synchronize my laptop and desktop. It wasn't, however, I have stuck with it because I like the indexed search for my mail and contacts. The calendar is an addon, and has a lot to be desired though. BTW, if you are looking for a fast way to sync up your clients I highly recommend Allway Sync.

  • First client I used was Outlook Express. After using various versions of Microsoft Outlook for a few years, I finally switched over to Thunderbird. I haven't looked back since. That's not to say Thunderbird is better than Outlook. For me personally though, Thunderbird suited be better.

  • Outlook 2003 sucks!

  • Thunderbird
